Lake Anna - Very first camping destination
I really do not have anything to compare to since this was our very first camping trip ever. The site was clean. The bathhouse was in walking distance and so was the trail that leads to the beach area. Add to this the site is a pull-through which is perfect for me since I don't really know how to backup yet. It was really quiet. Occasionally I could hear kids laughing but nothing too disturbing. It was a very relaxing weekend. The only issue I had is with Foxy. I rescued Foxy from a local animal shelter. It is believed that she was abused. She was about 6 to 8 months old when I got her. She is scared of everything. She didn't want to go far from the trailer and I was afraid to leave her alone. This morning she did tolerate a walk over to the beach area. It was morning so noone was there. I wanted to see it. Small but a nice feature. There was trash there so I am thinking the staff had not had a chance to do cleanup. It was around 9:00 or so but at least the camp sites were clean. The restrooms at the bathhouse are old but clean. I did not use the showers so I am no sure about those. Because Foxy was so scared I had to shower in the Sunny. I bit cramped but it worked. All in all, it was a very relaxing trip minus Foxy issues. Looking forward to our next trip.

It sure did! Thank you for all of the help along the way. It still needs some work but at least it's usable.

Plan well in advance. I reserved one of the site specific sites because they book up really fast and I only got one because someone canceled. When I was on my way, my friend Amy texted me that the park was full to capacity. So the only people they were letting in were those that had reservations. Nice site (25).

... and good on you for rescuing a dog who needs some TLC in her life.
Maybe camping ain't her thing (yet), but you sure are.
Way to go!

Yeh!!!!!!
Your camper setup looks GREAT!!!! You made it. A super big pat on the back for you!
So glad your first trip made it into the "Worth it" category. Heads up, camping in the Sunny can get addictive real fast. The only cure for the camping itch is to hook her up and go!
Thanks for sharing.
John
PS. I'm way behind in my SOC habit... did not see your post down here yet... but did now!
PS 2, how did the truck and the WD hitch work out? Did you feel in control all the time while towing?

Haha... already got another trip scheduled for the end of the month. The WD is working out great! It wasn't bad at all. Much better than before.
Thank you so much for everything!
Tommie
