Getting to jones beach

Does any one know how to get to jones beach on Long Island with a trailer? It looks like the Robert Moses causway is the way to go but I don't think you can take a trailer on it. I know people go to captree state park with trailers but have not had the chance to ask any one. I am on the east end of Long Island. Help! I'm supposed to go on Sunday. I have searched with no luck for the info I need.
Thanks
BillS

Bill- If I remember correctly, I believe trailers are allowed on the Causeway south of Montauk
Highway.Just use the entrance on Montauk Highway in West Islip. If you can, check with the Suffolk County PD. or the New York State Park Police.I wouldn't want you to get a ticket.Hope this helps.

Just for the record I called the park police and they didn't know. They sent me to the state police. They said it's ok from Montauk highway south just as you said.
Thanks
