PINEAPPLE CAKE

This is the easiest cake you will ever make, and will get rave reviews for it as well.

Mix 1 can (19-oz) crushed pineapple (with juice) with 1 pkg angel food cake mix. (Do NOT add anything else, this is the whole recipe!).

Bake according to the Angel Food mix instructions. Yummy! Also good with dream whip or whipped cream.

I made this last weekend. One problem with the finished product .... a normal guy can't eat just one piece! My wife thinks it is great too.

Thanks for posting it.

Gene - the ideal time to make it is when you have a PotLuck to go to. Make some whipped cream to top it off, and voila - you are the hit of the party!

Glad you enjoyed it.

This cake must be a hit. You posted 3 recipes at the same time. 2 of them now have 14 views. This pineapple one has 170 views???? That is 12 times more views … and all they can tell by the post is the name..

I know this is good, but what’s up with the pineapple

Have a good Thanksgiving.

John

Hi John,
I don't know what's going on with the pineapple, but needing only 2 ingredients, that would be a big hit with anybody I guess.

And we can almost convince ourself that it is low-fat because of the angel-food cake, and after a big meal, it is just the kinda thing to finish it off. OR, just maybe, everyone is wondering what to do with all those cans of pineapple they bought on sale last year, lol.

Charlie and I had my mom over for Thanksgiving and I made this.

I thought it would be nice to have something a little different besides the usual pumpkin pie. Mom asked what she could bring and said she had some coconut ice cream--Perfect! (she didn't know about the pineapple cake yet).

The pumpkin pie never even got cut!

As she was leaving, she said she'd have to tell the ladies group at her church about it so maybe someone would bring it for their next dinner. She makes awesome deviled eggs and is always asked to bring them.

This recipe was a hit with the ice cream and so easy!

Thanks Ron and Alice.
