Personal Comments:
We need to get back to this campground sometime. We had a site along the stream that was absolutely gorgeous. It's a perfect location to visit the Parkway and Biltmore Estate. The campground has a covered dish supper on Saturday night that is followed by entertainment - lots of fun and good food. The owners, Becky & Ron, are the type of people that make you want to come back to their campground just to see them again Have dinner one night at the Italian restaurant at the bottom of the mountain - it's good and cheap. Check out their website for pictures of the campground.

i found this one online a few months ago. It is so hard to know which websites are showing the 'real' campground. I will put this one on my short list, now! Thanks!

There is a man who makes bowls from wood right up the mountain from the campground. You can stop at his wood shop and watch him and chat. Interesting guy. While on that trip we visited Grandfather Mountain (yes it's worth the entrance fee if you like to hike), Linville Falls (I think), Mt. Mitchell, the LinCove Viaduct, Biltmore house (get the headphones), NC Arts & Crafts Center, and bowl man as we called him. All were an easy drive from Mountain Stream. It was a great trip. Enjoy
