Personal Comments:
This park is only 2 years old and not in the commercial directories yet, therefor pretty much undiscovered. They only have 12 sites, but have full hookups and the sites are nice sized and well landscaped. It's really quite adorable, with nice owners who deliver fresh baked muffins to your site each evening. This park is a block from the New River Trail and the same distance from the put in point for kayaking on the river. It's also only 2 miles to the eastern end of Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, with it's 350 miles of hiking trails. It's an easy drive to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail. Fries is a quaint well kept little town. There's not much to the town, but the Dollar General has all the necessities. We don't have cable on our site, and because we're in a hollow we don't get radio either. Next time I might request to be in the front area of the park where cable is available, so as to not feel so isolated. I'd stay here again for sure.
