Personal Comments:
This campground is a Corp of Engineers campground and is so cool that I kind of want to keep it a secret ! The sites are BIG and grassy with shade trees. (not wooded) There really isn't a bad site in the place. Some of the E/W sites have lake views. The campground has a beautiful lake, and hiking trails. It's close enough to the Grand Canyon of PA to go ride the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Pine Creek Outfitters offers shuttle service. They also offer rafting, canoeing and kayaking in the spring and fall depending on water levels. Unfortunately the water was too low for us to kayak the Pine Creek, but we did ride the rail trail which is beautiful. Warning...the outfitters will tell you the trail is flat, BUT it is very slightly downhill when you're heading south. We rode out and back instead of taking the shuttle...which means our "back" was slightly uphill
Some of the electric hookups are pretty far from the camper pad, so bring a 30W extension cord. I only wish Ives Run was closer !
