Have any of you been at Poe Valley State Park in PA? Have any pics of the campground? Also,Mapquest has me on some dirt roads going in.Any other ways to get there without gravel roads? Thanks.

We haven't been there but the brochure (below) states that "gravel roads turn to paved roads near the park. No entirely paved road leads to the park." The link also has a few pictures.

Our first trip with our first camper 30 years ago was to Poe Valley and Poe Paddy. We have never returned because I refused to abuse my TT on that terrible gravel road. Hopefully, they have improved the road over the past 3 decades: I'm sure someone on this site has been there in more recent years and can give an update on the condition of the 10 mile dirt road. Once we got to the campground, we enjoyed the scenery.

I should pay attn closer...I know this place, summer 09 I had to pick up some kids from a scouting outing here. I was in my jetta, but the roads were ok I guess.

sidenote: depending on which way you come from, 7mts is one heck of either a ball busting climb, or a semi-controlled descent...
