Personal Comments: I thought the site was great but I'm into this kind of camping. You are very secluded being 6 miles back on a skinny gravel road with no other camp sites. The site was perfect for our TT at 22ft. I would not want to put anything larger on the site as you have to back up a pretty steep incline to get to the level spot. We drug but not too bad. It would be perfect for a Que (Pam). The whole weekend, we had a total of 7 cars pass our site. It was quiet, dark and darn near perfect. Please see the following pictures. And be sure to bring extra blocking!!!!

The road going in

Beautiful vistas

Campsite #9

Level site Hee Hee

Beautiful hiking trails

Like I said...............Darn near perfect

I'm confused. There's 1 campsite? as in only 1 trailer or tent can camp there? as opposed to 1 campground with several sites? How on earth do you find these cool spots & did you reserve it or take your chances?

Pam,
One camp site...........you are by yourself. You can reserve via permit from the webpage I gave. There are 3 more sites scattered throughout the forest but I did not get to see them. I think 2 are tent only. We are going to try the other one maybe in Nov if the weather stays nice, will let you know. Marshall

The first review was for site # 9. Last fall (I know, I am so far behind) we stayed in site #66. The point of contact and all are the same as before. So, here we go..............................

This is the "driveway" up to site 66 from the main road

I guess I should have started here......................the main road

Backing up to the site....................

The site is huge, private and flat

But can you relax here...........................

I think it's possible. Stay tuned because right down the road...................

We found another site. This is number 64. We are planning on trying this one this fall

Take Care and Happy Camping.........................

I remember you telling me wouldn't be able to get into the first site pictured. Can we get the 28 feet of Tweety into any of those now that the axle is flipped?

Site 9 could hold nothing bigger than our 195SR. We drug and dug and had to use four wheel drive just to back her in there.

Site# 64 & 66 are both big enough to accomodate most TT's as long as you can back them a ways. (check out the pic of site 66). Site 64 is a short straight back and is big once you get it back there.

Now there is one more we found since..................Site 65 which is a pull-through but has a tight circle at the end. I think you could do this one as well.

Each spot 64, 65 & 66 are a mile or two apart from each other. The best thing to do is to take a day and drive through before you take the camper up. Take a picnic lunch. Sue has them marked on a map if that would help. It's nice up there

A map would help. When I go to your original link most of the sites you mention aren't even on their maps. How do people find these sites?!
