Personal Comments:
This campground is great. The only negative is the narrow one way roads, but if you go slow they are navigable. (for 28' anyway) For some sites you have to go the wrong way on their one way streets in order to pull into your site correctly. They understand and expect you to do this. The sites are very private and huge. There are alot of tents and popups here, but plenty of trailers too. There were 3 Sunlines there during our stay. The campground has it's own awsome playground that has 2 areas depending on your child's age. The other playground near the main office even has a small (5') climbing wall. Both have plenty of benches for adults. The hiking trails are well maintained. They have ALOT of rental boats for their cute little lake, and many people were fishing. This place was hopping on Labor Day Weekend, but everyone was friendly and polite. The rangers patrolled constantly but were helpful and friendly. You can get into 7 Presidents Beach at Long Branch, NJ for free with your entry form from Turkey Swamp. That's about 45 minutes away, and is a lovely beach with a very nice bathroom/snackbar facility. Be sure to map the drive to the beach before you go because the directions they give you at the park aren't the way you want to go. We loved it here and will use this park for our yearly beach fling.
