Unfortunately that part has not been produced for a very long time, and the last similar part on the market has now been discontinued too. Unless you can find a used one, which is pretty unlikely because they all weathered about the same, you'll need to make something to cover the space.

It's roughly the same design as yours, just a little wider and made of all plastic. See attached.

I wish I kept it.

Okay got it. I couldn't remember if it was the same as what I have. I wasn't able to find a replacement for mine but I did finally manage to find the lens. After I made one out of plexiglass of course! Didn't I see where someone made one with a 3-D printer or was that just the lens?

Hi mgebo,

That was a project.... It would be very helpful if you can create a picture post of some of your repairs to help others. Especially the roof seams and the way the older campers did the roof to siding seams, both side walls and end walls. The older metal roof campers where made a little different then the newer rubber roof campers and we do not have that good info on those joints. Those seams are a source of water infection and quite possibly the older campers did a better job at it then the new rubber roof campers.

And the siding place you found, yes that is very hard to get at a reasonable price. Would be very interested in the source you found.

Happy camping in your redone Sunny! You can sit by the campfire and look at all your hard work and now enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Thanks

John

John , I replaced the original metal roof with 1/4" plywood and rubber. This should be much more water tight. I found a guy in Georgia as I was traveling this spring who makes canedham shells in his shop . He makes all the siding in house. He can make 3" 6"or diamond pattern , with the seam necessary to connect multiple panels. I was quoted $1500 for the same amount that I purchased for $280. The guy was very nice and accommodating , had it ready when I arrived. I'm also looking for a pair of fenders for my project , not sure if they can be found.
