NEED door for 1985 Sunline trailer
Someone broke into my trailer and damaged the door and inner screen door. Sad! Hoping to find a replacement that will fit. Any leads would be super helpful. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your break in. Can you rebuild it? That beige/tan material I have seen at Lowe's in white.

Agreed, best bet is to straighten the aluminum and rebuild it. If that isn't an option at all, you can try to find a new door at an RV surplus place, but there are many kinds. It's popular these days to have radius corners on the top, but you need a square corner door. Take measurements of the size and see what they have. Bontragers RV Surplus here in White Pigeon, MI is a good source.

Take the skin off you will be amazed with what you find inside it is at the very best crude and most likely fairly rotted. Any one with some carpendery skills could build one in a few hours. The worst part is the aluminum frame work but it is fairly light weight and bends easily. I have rebuilt several I use pressure treated ripped to size from 2X4's and long cabinet screws instead of staples at the corners. I do go a bit overboard with the joints because I can but from the factory they are just simple butt joints.

There are new replacement doors out there but be ready to fork over $450. Who ever broke in knew what they were doing they grabbed it at the bottom where it's the weakest. Pushed the screen door in to reach the dead bolt knowing it opened out.

I have 2 of these doors in the shed, I would give them to you if you pay the shipping or pick them up near Lima, Ohio. One is better than the other, both came off a t2105 Sunline. both have been reworked but the frames are straight.

I have a 1985 Sunline that I plan to sell soon. It needs roof work but contains many good parts. (good door and most windows, water heater, fridge, tub/shower, bed, cabinets, etc.) Located in North Carolina. Post the dimensions of your door and I will check mine. Might be purchased for one new door!!
