missing outside refridgerator vent cover

We lost the outside vent cover for our older 1985 Sunline 17'. Measures about 13x21.5". Having trouble getting anything ordered from the local rv dealer. We have been looking for replacement covers online, just not sure exactly what will work. Wanted to try posting here in case anyone has any old parts, or knows exactly what we need to order.

Welcome to Forum
you can try RV Refrigerator Roof Vents on Sale - PPL Motor Homes.
If you can't find cover it's not much of a job to replace base and new cover.

Snowbound, Welcome to the forum.

Are you looking for the roof vent cover or the cover on the side wall of the trailer at the back of the fridge?

In the link Jim posted above the Camco version has 2 sets of holes to fit either a Dometic or a Norcold.

Yes, I think any of those would work. They are the complete frame (14x22). I remember this came up a while back when I thought all the covers had rounded edges like mine but Jon (Sunline Fan) knew the older units had a square corners like in those links.

When you put in the new door use butyl putty tape between the door and the trailer side. Tighten the screws evenly all around the frame to squeeze out some butyl and then use something like a plastic putty knife to remove the excess. That will give you a nice watertight seal around the door.

True, but I wouldn't bother replacing the frame unless it's needed. The door will slide sideways out of the hinge when opened up most of the way. Simply remove from the frame it comes with and slide it onto the trailer.

They were kind of a PIA because they could slide around, so they have to be centered in the hole in order to push in/latch.
