Not sure if you saw this one already.

Not sure of the difference between a T1950 and M1950. Didn't know there was a M-1950.

Thanks Thomascine...but it has water damage in three places...why dont these dealers tell you that right upfront? You have to almost drag that info out of them..guess they hope the next person just won't ask,huh.....if I cant find a nice 1950 I will look into a SOB with similar layout and size..found a 2005 but I want/need windows that can stay open in the rain!! Not after 2002 they didnt! Ty again tho!

Hind sight is 2020. I also like the floor plan of the T1950. Something tells me that I may be upgrading in the next couple of years. If I can ever get this one fixed up. But I will keep you in mind as I look around. I am always exploring.

Hi Janalee,
just FYI, the newer campers (post 2002) have a mixture or single hung, slider and tilt outs (crank outs)
All 3 of the 2004 units we have/had have this mixture throughput the camper. Meaning every wall has at least one, sometimes 2, crank out windows on it so a cross breeze can come in when it is raining out or at night. Granted, tilt outs are not the older jalousie windows but they do allow you to have them open when it is raining.
Hope this helps
John

John, I do know that, but after 2002 the front window is stationary which really bugs me!! Now in the later ones there is a tiltout behind the sofa(bottom half of window only), a slider behind the chair(not protected by the awning),a very small half tiltout over the sink, one slider next to the bed (also not protected)..I am not a big fan of AC unless it is ungodly hot so I really need my breezes! If I dont find it this year it doesnt matter since the camping season is gone-I started too late..Spring may be a whole other matter...Janalee

Changing the windows could be an option, it would be simple if what you wanted had the same size window. May have to do some research to find if what you want is made, but the process of taking out the window is fairly easy. I believe JohnB switched one of the windows in his and got another one from a RV supply place, I dont think it was a tilt/crank but may be other options.
Another idea to get air moving if you have some windows that can open in the rain is a MaxxAir fan in the roof vent. We have crank outs on the our slide and a slider under the awning, with the MaxxAir on it will move a lot of air, they advertise it can be used while raining and we have without any problems.

See my new avatar!! Guess no one was looking when I posted it..more pictures in the albums and entitled "Sunny #10"....it is a 1996 Solaris 1950 and is in very good shape. My friend went over it with his moisture meter and it checked out great! Everything is working...I will need awning fabric next Spring and some stripe rescue! The red stripe is peeling..but the inside is wonderful! I am so thrilled and instead of a therapy room, I now have a "Happy Place" !
I sold my 1661 to a really nice couple from the Poconos and they have been out camping and are now in the process of re-decorating it to make it their own! Janalee

Janalee, that looks like a nice one, but it looks like a 1995!

Yes Jon, you are correct. It IS a '95 ! When the P.O. first contacted me he said it was a '96. He had emailed interior pictures and I knew right away it was a '95, could tell by the sofa upholstery..But somehow '96 just stuck in my mind when I wrote this..I guess I will have to change that. They had purchased it new in 1996 from Stoltzfus in Adamstown , hence, the confusion on their part. And yes, it is a very nice unit. A good friend of mine from SOC came to visit and checked it all over with his moisture meter and it is DRY! I am now in the process of making new window treatments and in the Spring she will have new carpeting, then new awning fabric. And then hopefully, off to the lake for the summer!
