Question Looking for a couple of slide out rollers

I have a '99 SunLine SR 280 that has somehow lost the roller, pin, bushings, washers that the slide rolls out and in on.

Does anyone have any idea where I might find 2 of these assemblies?

Does anyone know of places where SunLines are taken when they are wrecked?

You can contact me at 828-253-7539 - ask for Charlie or send me an e-mail at csj135@att.net

Appreciate all the help I can get.

It's not often that they're wrecked, but there's one at Gary's RV Salvage in Gerrardstown, WV. He might have just what you're looking for, and if not, I think he has an entire slide motor assembly you could get instead.

Jon

Just looked on the 'Net and went thru 411 and neither had any info on Gary's RV Salvage in Gerrardstown WV. Do you have any info on it?

pakrat67-68,

First of all, welcome to SOC. You will find great info and help from the members here.

Now, about Gary's RV Salvage. You won't find a listing anywhere. Sunline Fan was being humorous. Gary (EMD_Driver) and kanyonkitty purchased a Sunline that was unfortunately rolled by another member. They dismantled the entire trailer and salvaged what they could. You could PM either of them to ask about the slide hardware or just wait an hour or so and at least one of them will most likely reply to your original post.

Hoping you have the needed parts installed soon so you can start enjoying your new-to-you Sunline.

Thanks for the info, I'll look them up in a while.

My SunLine is not new to me, I bought it back in '01 and have spent 6 winters at MacDill AFB in it as well as going to Myrtle Beach and the Great Smokie Mountains many times. Even a trip to Michigan to see my wife's grandnephew get married, we also spend a lot of time at Camp LeJeune's Onslow Beach looking for shark's teeth. One time we were there for 3 days Carol, my better half found ½ a cup full of them in an hour of looking.

OK, we are alive and well. Tired as all get out but OK. Tonight we worked to get Garys '94 F-350 emptied out and ready to turn over to it's new owner. Then we got the purchasers to help Gary put the replacement bed on my '97. SO, after the people left with Garys truck, Gary proceeded to fasten the bed to the frame of my truck, connect the tail lights up, etc.

SO, right at this moment we CAN'T move Sunny as the hitch is not installed in my truck, and we are now looking for a replacement truck for Gary.

We do have slide out parts, but I don't know one part from another, so we will have to wait for Gary to reply to you about the parts.

Welcome to the group,

Kitty

Thanks KanyonKitty

I would really appreciate it if you folks could look and see if the slide out has some rollers and if the motor works maybe I could get that.

Hi Charlie,

I apologize for putting you through all that, I figured Gary or Kitty would be around soon to see the post.

I had somewhere to be and I made the post sort of quickly, I should have elaborated some...

Sorry!
Jon

Hi Pakrat

Kitty's system is a Lippert slide system, 2004 vintage and the same as mine. Do not know which roller you mean, the rack and pinnion gear rollers or the ones up inside the telescoping arm at the end.

Kitty's prices I know will be better.... but once her stock runs out you can get them from Lippert direct Lippert Components, Inc Shopping Cart Then go to RV parts

We are also making an assumption your 99 unit used the same Lippert slide. Check before ordering. I have lots of pics too if you need info on a 04 Lippert slide mechanism.

Good luck

John

Slide out rollers

The rollers I am looking for are an outside mount under the extension arm, there are 2 sets of brackets which look like 2 steel pieces about ¾" wide and about 4" long which come down from the edge? of the frame? The trailer is 100 miles south right now for other repairs so I can't remember exactly what it looks like under there now. I'll go to the web site you provided and look at Lippert's page and go from there.

I lost the roller a few years ago - I guess - because we didn't know it was gone until this past March when I was trying to get the support bar for the electrical cords straightened for the umpteenth time and found other problems that I didn't know of.

Thanks for the info tho'.

Rollers & Lippert

Just called Lippert today and found that Lippert didn't start making the slide out gear for Sunline until 2002, so if you have a model made prior to 2002 then you don't have Lippert gear. The feloow I talked to said that Power Gear probably was the one but their toll free dealer directs you to your dealer .

Thanks for everyone's help, guess I'll keep looking.

I promise Gary WILL get those measurements for you today and get back to you TODAY with the info. The past 4 days around here have been quite hectic.

That's fine, I found oout this morning that Lippert didn't start making slide outs for Sun Line until 2002 so the one I got is different from the 2004 y'all salvaged.
