I need this knob
This is a knob from my 1985 T-1550, for the upper cabinets. I just need the actual knob, not the mechanism it is attached to. The knob unscrews from the mechanism. When we bought the trailer one of the knobs was already broken, so I moved it to the bathroom cabinet where it is not so noticeable, but I would like them all to match. Does anyone have any they would like to sell? Sorry the picture is so blurry, bad cell phone camera.
Thanks,
Jenny

I think some of mine look like that and I'm replacing them - I should be able to send you my old ones. I'll check and see and if they match, they're yours. (I've got a hodgepodge of different knobs but I think a handful of them are that style.) You can kinda see them in some of my inside pics in my albums.
No need to pay, if they match, I'll just send them to you.

I'll PM to let you know if they're a match and if they are, to get your shipping address. I don't have a paypal or anything so maybe you could send the shipping cost to my favorite animal rescue or something.

OK, I couldn't figure out if I could attach this in a private message. Here's the hardware I have that's "original" They aren't in perfect shape - not shiny and new and the drawer pull has obvious wear.
They're all yours if you want 'em. Send me your address in a private message and I'll ship them out.

Yes, those are them. I've seen a number of people replace these knobs with plain brass ones, when it probably wouldn't take much to shine these up nice!
Do you guys have the little things that the handle pulls out from the cabinet to release the thing inside? They must have changed to the cheaper snap clip in 1986. The inner mechanism style are rare to find all in functioning condition though, because they didn't last so well without breaking. I don't know a source for replacements, either, though I'll admit I haven't looked much.

Most of the handle releases in my camper are broken Sunline Fan. I'm going to replace them with a different type because some of the ones I have are a bear to try to operate.
My camper has a hodgepodge of different types of drawer pulls and knobs- the only original ones were the ones I'm passing on to Jenny. I plan on buying matching ones once I'm finished doing leak/structural repairs and can move on to remodeling. I'm not restoring this camper to anything like original condition, instead, I'm making it my own style.

Jon - My latches are mostly operating correctly, and they are all there. I have one that doesn't work but that one is on one of the doors on the bunk, that we never open anyway. It took me a while to figure out how to open these, you have to pull the knob while pushing on the cabinet door with your thumb at the same time to get the mechanism to release. I can see where people would just tug on the knob to try to open it, and if you pull too hard it will probably break the release. I have never seen anything like these. I am going to try to shine all my knobs up once I get them all.
