Hey Ladies,

Lee is on vacation !!! He's in Harpers Ferry, so I'm guessing he won't be back to work until Monday the 9th.

OOOOO tell me my 1950 will drop from the sky!

PW,

>>Maybe BB would like my 1950. <<

You KNOW I would LOL! Can we talk? Good thing I have a horse in the race chipping in.

Say when you are in our neck o tha woods w/ 1950 you need to pull it on over so we can see it! Would make perfect timing.

We are just a coupla miles off the I-40 / I-75 split!

Looking forward to meeting you at least we can camp together some time. Check into that new campground called Misty something or other. It's reviewed on the About Camping site. Did you call for how much the Little River Campground is? Supposed to be nice but long timer visitors there weren't thrilled KOA took it over from Mom and Pop and raised the rates 20 bucks at night.

So will this trip get your EDS? Hope so. Good for you!

Going back to school is a PIA but I sure did even better MS than my BS on grades and getting out early. Now you can say you have more ... stuff! :P

Hope you get your new rig! For you but for us too!

BB

BB, this is my next to last trip. I will go up on the weekend of the 21st for my final class and then I will have my EDS. Take a look on the website mentioned above if you want to see the exact colors on the 1950. I've been so busy preparing for this class that I haven't had time to take and post pix yet. My research paper is over 80 pages long.

If we bring the trailer up next time, we will be staying in Little River or Tremont next door. THe Misty River campground has a nice bath house but the sites were in the middle of a field and not along the river. They have some fairly nice cabins along the river.

Oh boy for you...

PW,

You see the light growing brighter the closer you get to the end of the tunnel.

>>My research paper is over 80 pages long. <<

Tell me about it. My thesis was a nightmare.

Imagine how harder it was pre-Internet. I already had shoulder trouble toting all those books to and from UT Library. A roller cart did help.

Congrats you have it made now gal!

What level? Grammar, Middle, or High School? or something else?

I don't blame you on the Misty River Campground. If the sites are devoid of tree shade not my choice for sure. Camping in the middle of a hot fleild not my idea of fun either.

I would more than likely go with the Little River even if it's overpriced. Tremont has it's cheerleaders too. Only one disgruntled camper. It is much older than the Little R. one but may be more woodsy and "quaint."

If you get how much the Little River one I would be interested in how much. Probably not as obscene as some of the parks we have stayed in Florida. Camping on the Gulf is now 70 a nite even in the farther away from the beach sites for a full hookup.

Why I like the State Park there. Only 38 a nite full-hookup and big lots.

Have fun on your campout!

I am hoping our 1950 drops from the sky like spent firecrackers but with a parachute. Have some leads on some.

BB

2653 at Stolzfus

The 2363 I saw at the dealership is a 2007, used only one summer and traded...according to Wayne who hopes to get some pictures up later today or maybe tomorrow. He says they are extremely busy right now. We are leaving for there at 6:30 AM tomorrow to pick up our friend's 2653 so if you have questions, get in touch with me soon and I will try to get answers. Here is a link to a 2006 2499 on e-bay...located in Lakewood NJ - READ FEEDBACK - they have 1 negative and only a few deals.

If anyone is in the area, it may be worth a trip looking at it.

Hi Kathy & Leo, I belive that's the same one I posted about originally that's at Colonial Airstream. They post on ebay all the time and are definitely a reputable dealer. In fact they are AirStream's #1 volume seller.

Sorry Pam, I did not mean to say/indicate he wasn't a good dealer....sometimes people over look the "feedback" on e-bay...and some buyers get a "bug up there axx and will post a negative at the drop of a hat"!

It must be the same dealer (Colonial Airstream)....that trailer looks real clean...hope someone who "really wants" a Sunline buys it!

Hi pamwinn!
I spoke with Bill Smith at Big Chief's RVs in Anniston, and they have several new Sunlines they are taking to auction THIS Saturday in Nashville. One of his is a 2363, and I *think* he said it had the leather interior and was a new unit. If interested you should call & double check, he rattled off lots of info to me and I could have it confused

I didn't find his asking prices to be great but you might get a deal once it's at auction if you are close to Nashville! Just wanted to let you know.....

pamwinn,
Well, now of course they don't have a website because then we could actually *see* the campers, and apparently that makes it much too easy for those of us looking For some odd reason I find many of the Sunlines I have located have no pics posted online.
I had to call to get the info, the person I spoke with was Bill Smith, and they have a toll-free #: 1-800-335-3617. He does not have pics and didn't offer them.
I thought his price for the 2753 I called on was a little high in comparison to other dealer's prices I had seen online (especially considering there is no warranty and he's about to haul it to the auction!). I don't know what he was asking on your model.
I hope that helps, good luck finding your Sunline!!!

We called, he didn't give us a price but is supposedly emailing some pix and a price. We are awaiting the email right now.

Wow, when I asked about pics he didn't even offer!! Do let me know how it looks He also talked like he wouldn't hold it until Saturday for us to see it, so I didn't press.

HE sent pix...no price yet. We are going to call back. It looks a little weird. The leather is black and the cabinets are the light maple....would have looked better in cherry with the black leather I think. I just noticed above that he did not give you a price on this model. Did you end up going to Sagon while you were down here in Jonesboro? If so, what did you think about the experience?

Well, we didn't expect much from Sagon since you had warned us In fact, we only went because it was the closest 2753 we could at least look at to try and help us rule Sunline either in or out in choosing a TT.

Our Sagon experience was good in that no one approached us or pressured us, but the Sunlines WERE pretty bad! Well used, and I think that at least the ones with no logo must have been FEMA trailers. They were cleaning one of the slide models and it looked pretty good, but the 2753 we went to look at was very dirty. The carpet was very stained, and it had ants crawling over every surface!!! I'm not sure they will ever sell it at that rate. It seemed quite worn/stained to only be a 2006. BTW, Sagon is also taking Sunlines to the same auction in Nashville. Hopefully they will clean them first!!!

The decor of your model at Anniston does sound a little strange. Does it look very contemporary or masculine?? Too bad, when he said "leather interior" I had hoped it would be nice for you .

We did like the layout of the 2753, my favorite thing was all the windows made the fact that there is no slide much more workable for us. We had planned on checking out the one in Anniston but it will be in Nashville before we get a chance.
I am going to try, but I don't think DH will go for the auction

Good luck in your hunt, hopefully somethng will turn up soon!
