Hinged propane tank cover

Looking for a (new) hinged propane tank cover to fit over 2 x 30# tanks....have the Camco style and looking for what Sunline used on the 2006 and older models......can anyone tell me where to find one???? I've searched the net for hours tonight with no luck.....

When you say "the camco style", is it the one that came from the factory? We bought one that has access panels in the top to get to the valves without removing the cover. cost less than $30

Holy Cow!!!! Kitty I never realize that thing cost so much..... better take real good care of mine and just upgrade the rusting latches to stainless ones.

I tried myself to find the Delux so called one we have with the lift top and the same site Kitty found was all I turned up. TJ I'm sure does not make it.

BUT I did find this and this "might" be close to what Mike was refering too or the next generation as I saw the older slide over covers too.

I have bought from Eastern Marine and had positive experinces.

So I tired to go to the Camco site for a poistive picture and there site is not updated but it does updated easy acess cover. ERRR. bad when the mfg site is not up to date....

Seems part no 40542 "might" be for 30# tanks. I would confrim that as Amazon has them too but the pic does not look right. It could be the Amazon one is the prior generation sliding cover, not the lift up like Eastern is showing. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...v-20/ref=nosim

Seems Camco just came out with the flip up top upgrade. It is better on price then the $268 on the Delux one we have.... My goodness how can it be that bad... however do no know how the Camco will hold up. They have good stuff and stand behind them.

John I found all the ones that you provided links to....Leo & I stopped at Camper's Barn in Kingston NY & Camping World in Amsterdam NY and they both carry the Camco model BUT the "flip" portion does not look like it will stay on too long, Mike any comments onthis? .....our Sunline came with the older Camco model NO OPENINGS at all.....

We have been using the vinyl zip type for the past few years and it seems to be OK but it is now ripping at the seams.....that is the reason for the search. We can buy a lot of the vinyl style covers for $260+ dollars.......we'll have to wait until next spring and check out the newer Camco style.

Ours isn't the flip up design. It's the type shown in this picture http://www.camco.net/Menu.cfm?SupCat...ProductId=2196. They are covers over the access holes that twist and lock in place. They have tether cords on them so you can't lose the covers. You can see the tether cords in the picture. We've had the cover for 3 years now and it's in just as good of shape as when we bought it.

When I was there this spring, they had one with one large opening on top but it's not listed online so don't know if it's still available or not. The two small holes give access to the valves only. If you want to switch from one tank to other when it is empty or check the auto switch you would still have to remove cover.

Both Camper's Barn & CW had the one with the large hole....no tethers to hold the cover on......We'll have to look at the tethered one in the spring.
