curtain holders for T 2499

Need the plastic bracket that holds the curtain back and in place on a T 2499. The chair decided it wanted to do harm to the curtain on our last trip out. If you have or know where I can get replacements please let me know. jterhune@win.net

Thanks

Got a pic of the part? It might help a bunch.

Steve........

I just went out to the camper to take pictures of the curtain holders (which by the way ....I have no idea how to post them). While there... the smarter person in my family (wife) got to looking around and found 2 extra holders in a drawer.....so while I stood there looking stupid....I decided to just walk away and I have spared my life just one more time. Thanks for the reply and life goes on.

Thanks JIM

We have the same problem, except, no spares lying around.
I think the chair did it!
I know there is a "sticky" on how to post pictures, but I have yet to try the process.

The brackets are incorrect in your sig...they should be the [this] instead of {this}. Same key, just simply don't press the shift key with it. But that alone won't make it work.

If you can give us the name of your Photobucket account, we can try to diagnose your pictures.

Basically, it's just the web address for the picture, surrounded by

Jon

If you're talking about the bracket at the floor holding the bottom of the curtain, my chair did damage too. I used a steel angle bracket, placed the broken pieces over it and carefully drilled holes to bolt the plastic to the angle bracket. Curtain covers it so it worked well.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't have a clue what y'all are talking about, so PLEASE, post a pic!!

I'm assuming these are different than the plastic clips that hold the blinds to the wall.

Jon,
I don't presently have photo software on the PC. Had to remove it when it crashed.
The bracket is roughly a U-shaped plastic piece, where one leg is much longer than the other. The bottom of the curtain threads on to this leg. That leg also has a bent back tip to keep the curtain from sliding off. The short leg is mounted to the wall with two screws. On our T-2499 it is just where the back of the rocker can hit it, and apparently it did.
Can you picture that?

Oh ok, thanks Roar. It doesn't sound like a type of piece commonly used between a lot of floorplans.

Jon,
Do you have any idea where I should be looking for one?
When I find a source, I will stock up, as they look weak and vulnerable.

I just checked who I thought might have it, PPL Motorhomes and eTrailer, with no luck. I'll contact Carl and see who supplied them.

Got a response from Carl. It won't be so easy to find after all:

"That tieback was part of an extrusion that was bought for a plumbing cover and then cut to size for the tieback. Not sure where it came from, but you can use a piece of aluminum to form the same thing."

Might have a winner

264SRinPA....

I think we have a winner. This looks like "the same thing only different"....so that means it should work. Thanks for the reply and the info I needed to find something to replace the broken part.

Thanks from Kentucky JIM
