camper cover?

Hello, happy that we just purchased a 12.5 foot 1982 sunline. We love it, but we need to cover it. Any recommendations on a good cover that will last. Located in California.

thank you.

Hope this helps?

I bought an Adco last year from Camping World. They had an awesome sale on these. I researched till I was blue. Sale did it, I bit. I got the cover pertinent to my location. Great cover, awesome material and construction. Comes with nice stick on patches, and two weighted straps so you can toss straps from cover under camper to other side. Glad I bought it. Sun is harsh on a camper. Even if it's a Sunline.

I second the recommendation for an Adco cover especially with the Tyvek roof material. I bought our first one in the fall of 2007 and was still in good shape when a tree fell on our trailer in June 2013 and damaged it. I bought a Designer Series one and it's even better quality than the first one. I typically use it from early November to late March and it saves a lot of wear and sun damage on the outside of the trailer.

We live in Florida and are hesitant to cover our camper because of mold from humidity and trapping in critters. Any ideas on this? I have a cover and am thinking of cutting it to maybe a foot below the roof line, put in grommets and tie it down just to protect the roof which takes the most beating from the sun and rain.

I used an Adco on on my old MH I made some small low saw horses and put them under the cover it allowed me to leave the vent open to reduce moisture inside of the MH and gave the rain/snow a bit of a pitch. No problem with the Sunny it lives in the barn!

We have an 04 2499 which we love, a lot. We just took it to a local RV dealer and had it washed, brake check, and roof cleaned and resealed. We thought about an Adco cover then started wondering how do we get it on. Since it is a heavy cover and it is a rubber roof with out wood. I get concerned about walking on it. Any pointers would be appreciated.
Happy Camping, Safe travels and Merry Christmas to all.

Most people cut a piece of plywood about 2' - 3' wide by the width of the trailer - line the bottom side with carpet and lay it on the roof and kneel on it......

Maybe a ladder on each side to pull it up and over the trailer would work but, as I recall, Ted and ladders don't play well together.

Ted and Ladders, yes that's a long story. I now normally only go on a ladder with DW over seeing to level and secure. That does sound like a plan though for putting it up and we do have the ladders. Thank you for the response. Leo I do use that wood and carpet idea when I do have to go on I guess with Gene and your plans we may go ahead and do it. I also have to do some work on the Fantastic vent as it will not start so the wood and carpet will for sure work there.
Merry Christmas to all.
