Selling 2005 Sunline 264 and Chevy 1500HD...

It has been an extremely difficult decision, by we regretfully have decided to attempt to sell our TT. Our lives with two teenagers have become crazy busy, and the kids want no part of camping anymore, so the next 3 – 4 years we would hardly be using it. So why let it sit….if we can find the right buyer we will let it go. I am not in a must sell situation so if the right buyer is not out there this spring then so be it, we will keep it and try to get a trip or two in.

2005 Sunline 264-SR:
We have only owned it for two years and are the second owners. It is in very good to excellent condition. I have made a bunch of upgrades/modifications to make the camping experience better. I just put on 5 new tires (4 + spare). It has a factory installed screen room, pass thru two sides slider storage factory installed, and slide room awning topper.

2005 Chevy 1500HD:
I will also be selling our TV, a 2005 Chevrolet 1500HD with Quadrasteer, 53,750 miles on it. It has the 6.0 liter engine and 4.10 rear end…perfect for towing! I am the second owner of this truck and have owned it for 3 ½ years. It has almost every option Chevy had in 2005 for a truck. It is in very good condition with a couple of dings and a cracked towing mirror, and mechanically it is in excellent condition. I will only sell the truck if the camper sells first, OR I would sell as an all inclusive package, truck and trailer, plus hitch (Reese dull cam anti sway system), generator, 27 gal. gray tote, hoses, electrical cords, everything needed to hook and go other than your own food and clothing.

I don’t have pictures to post at this time but you can look back at my post history and see pics. I will be posting an official “for sale” with proper pictures and descriptions on Craigslist when time permits and will repost here as well. I just thought a preliminary post here to get things rolling in case one of our Sunline friends has any interest.

Tentative pricing:
Trailer $15,000
OR
Truck/trailer/everything needed to camp $36,000

If interested you can PM me here.

Advice on how to sell in reply to this post is welcome.

UPDATE!

Tried to "casually" sell TT on craigslist for $14,900 (I know to high), and almost no interest. Wifey and I love this TT and the whole RV life in general...so we have decided to keep everything and make it work somehow. Anyone have a time machine to turn my kids back to the pre 10 years old range...PLEASE!!

The bad news is all you sunline club members will still have me lurking around. Sorry!!!

Sorry you had no luck selling your rig, BUT ya know we didn't want you to leave and you KNOW that you really didn't want to sell it. Things happen for a reason. We are kinda going thru the same thing, Garys' kids are NOT fond of going camping, but we in no way have even considered selling the rig.

I remember pre 10 year olds. They even loved going to the dump. They soon enough quit that when it wasn't cool, but they did get old enough to leave home alone and the lawn got mowed and the plants watered. Now all 3 are over 30 and we've been camping with them and grandkids again. Really looking forward to camping with 2 kids and all 4 grandkids in Jasper this summer. So, take heart Joe, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Henry

I'll second what Henry said....when the girls where teenagers it was "a bore" to be with us camping....now they plan their August vacation to coincide with ours....the grand-kids love it too!!!!

This year eldest grandson is going off to college...so one family will not be coming with us, his younger brother (8 y/o) said he wasn't going to college....he was camping with Nana and Poppy!!!! Gotta give them time to do the full circle!
