2005 Solaris T-2499, PA, $10,800
I have a 2005 sunline Solaris model T2499 26ft camper. I purchsed this camper brand new in the summer of july 04. It was the first one delivered to my dealer in the 2005 model yr. I just went through a divorce. I cant afford to keep it. It must go. I have taken perfect care of this camper. I had taken it to 2 differnt dealers and they say it was worth 12k+. I am offering it for my payoff which is approx. 10,800. Yes thats right payoff only. I have a lot of money tide up in it too. I purchased this camper for the qualitly of craftsmanship and reliablilty. It has all ammenities, Plus +++++ a 4kw onan gent set, all linens, dishes and camper gear (hoses.cords etc) It has 4 brand new tires which only have about 300 miles on them. This is a turn key unit. I will even deliver it to your place or camp spot in resonable distance. It is 26ft long and rides very nice. It also comes with all the hitch equipmet too, reese hitch, sway controler, and weight distribution bars. First 10,800 takes it. This is a awsome deal, wish I could of found something like this when i was looking for one. It is very clean inside and out. Sunline did the update to the a frame also in 2007 I guess to make it stronger. I didnt know there was a problem but they did it when i had it at the factory for some tweeks.
Thanks for looking.

They made the original change for the beginning of the 2005 model year (Summer 2004), and we think they made a change in the late summer of 2006 (2007 model year)
All 2003-2004 model year 2499's are in the clear and 2007 2499's built like late August/Early September 2006 through November 2006 are in the clear. All the rest may or may not have problems, depending on usage, tow vehicles, hitch gear, and cargo loading.

I hope I am doing this right, I would like to buy a used 2499 and I think I sent a message to a guy named jon, He has so phone number so I can't just call him . If someone knows him would you contact him and give him my phone number. I had a mild stroke ten years ago and I have a lot of trouble doing things like this but I have to keep trying. My phone number is 352-516-5555 . Its my cell. Or if you know of someone who has a 2499 or 2753 and want to sell,. with the big rear window, would you be so kind as to let them know I want to buy one?? I live about an Hour north of orlando, fla and I will have to fiqure out how to get it here. I have and old dodge diesel that will pull it for now but if it dies, I will get a gas 1/2 ton so I need to keep my trailer purchase lite and I think these two would do the job. Thanks for the help,

Thanks that was the information that I was looking for. This is the first time that I have heard that Sunline actually made a modification because they KNEW that the frame change that they made could result in a problem. Interesting, thanks again for the information.

I have been trying to get my rv dealer to give me a good price on a 07 2499, He is down to $11k. It looks ok but I was surprised that the tongue jack was worn out???? Also I didn't know that the underbelly wasn't enclosed or was it just missing. I live in florida but I go places where it gets well below freezing sometimes. I am a little baffled . How do uall deal with that. I have to make up my mind with this guy pretty soon so if you have some thots on that please let me know, I really like the unit so far and I'm not a newby except to Sunline. Thanks, baluga

I am trying to buy a 2499 and I am concerned about the need for a frame modification when there is quite a buzz about it. How about some pix and or drawing of what was done and with what materialsl. ie thickness width orientation etc. I'm just a redneck with a 30 year old lincoln stick welder but I've burned a ton of rods and never had a failure. All I need is good solid information on the problem, real or perceived and I can fix it.

Well i dont use my camper in the winter. I use it basically three seasons. There are campers that have a heated underbellys. My camper when you look under neith it i can see the frame a little but there is this black tarp like cover under the camper. It is not hard like some of the all weather or winter campers. If your going to use it in the winter either get a all weather one or use it in the warmer states in the winter. You can use it in the winter, but i dont because it creates to much moister in the walls and windows. My friend has a jayco, it had a winter package on it, double pained windows, heated underbell. heated tank etc. That kind you can use anywhere, not sure if sunline had a camper like that or not. Anyway hope this helps.
