Yhippy! 1982 Sunline, so excited.....
Hi All, I camped since I was a kid, we took the beagels, the parakeet and the hampster along, my folks were awesome campers. Hubby of 26 yrs has not enjoyed camping much, I have tented, and had a pop up with the kids... he was happy to stay home most trips. I had a used pop up for a few years, ick....mold...got rid of that. This morning I told him I had been looking for a small used camper.......he did not say too much....told him most cheap ones under $1000 I found were a bit gutted and moldy. So on my way to get groceries what do you know....I was told she just went up for sale after dark last night. As I approached the trailer, I seen what looked like original curtians....windows looked good too...minor bumps....bit of broken wheel well plastic, must have had a bad flat tire..... whoa... price is in my range......eeeeeee......so I started to look it over good.... some rust issues on the heat unit....no mold on the back of curtians....thats a good sign.....lights all intact.....tires look good.....they took one window out and put in an air conditioner....I made the call. Then called hubby to look....hee... hee.... he has the hitch on his jeep. I negotiated quick and it's already in my yard! Took hubby to dinner, and tomorrow I get to really look it over good. Owner said refridge did not work but motor runs on it...Needs a recharge maybe? It's in the 30's tonight so I'm waiting till tomorrow to check it all out better........ I can't sleep, started searching and found out hey, there's a club yay! I don't even know how long she is I think 12ft or so, she's not big and pulled like a dream! I should have no problem, I pulled straight into our drive then in a few turns had I her backed in so the tung faces twards the driveway for take off! I was told they did not take it out this last season, anything I should do? I have not checked it yet for antifreeze or water in the tank but will tomorrow, what else should I check...my dad did the winterizing...

If the link does not work - go to the top of the page and click on "FILES" - then go to "Brochures" then go to your year "1982 Travel trailers" - there is a page with interior layouts - you should be able to determine what model you have from those layouts.
You should also then be able to determine your tank capacity, weight, tongue weight, and other pertinent info!
Good Luck to you and glad you found SOC!

So sweet! We have a 1983 SunLine, and it has been painted over the decals, but it looks just like yours. We put the a/c in the back window. We put new countertop, carpet, back foam bed, & painted some more. It had been garaged all it's life, so was in good shape, no leaks. The heater and the oven do not work, but stove does. Bought it for $1800 & put about a $1000 into it. Had some tire trouble, so we recommend just getting new tires before starting out, spare too. Our paper info was inside on the closet wall. Best wishes, this is a very helpful site! Our pictures are in photo tab, 1983 T-1550, I think.

Serindippity,
Welcome. You have what appears to be a T-1550. A nice model IMO, but then I'm baize, as I have a 1983 T-1550.
Check the threads on winterizing.
Post pictures where possible, as we like and also with questions of a subject it can be very helpful for a solution.
Enjoy

Hi Serindippity,
Welcome to the SOC (Sunline Owners Club). Considering the weather you are having, I'm really glad your new to you Sunline has been winterized. It would be a bummer to have frozen parts to replace next spring when you are ready to head out to begin building camping memories in your Sunline.
Again, welcome!

At least a 3/4 ton, if not a one ton. Depending on the trailer model, weight, and tongue weight.

Eh, 3/4 is plenty. Could probably get away with a newer 1/2. GVWR on something that old is only about 6400 lbs, and they're low with no slides.
