Sunline dreamin'

Hello - my name is Rich Bricker. I live in Chambersburg, PA. My wife and I are embarking on finding an rv for ourselves and our son Noah (14 months). My father was a truck driver and was leased to Morgan Driveaway in Leola, PA. He mainly hauled rv's from the Lancaster area to many east coast dealers. He often would haul new Sunline campers from the Denver plant. Sometimes I would be lucky enough to go along with him - but even luckier if he would bring them home over the weekend. Needless to say, I dreamed of owning a Sunline someday - and maybe it will be soon. We are currently looking for a Sunline in the Harrisburg, PA area. This website is awesome, by the way!!

Welcome to the club, now lets find you a coach. I recently saw 2 at Ben's RV in York. Stoltzfus always has a few on their lot. I saw a few at Harbold's in Dover, etc.... A good way to start narrowing your search is by your tow vehicle, and it's ability. What are you planning to tow with? We have a good crew of towing experts to help you find a good fit to your tow vehicle (TV). Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a 2004 Durango 5.7 Hemi with tow package. I am going tomorrow to check out a 1997 2670. My numbers are close...

Make sure you give yourself 15% with those numbers for gear, people, water, waste, etc.

You don't want to draw too close to reaching your limits with numbers that basically entail hauling a completely empty truck and trailer. This also comes into play with your weight distribution package for your tow vehicle and the appropriate loaded to travel tongue weight.

Be wary of the dealer and the 'your truck and trailer are good to go with this set up' without doing some research first. Many want to push it out the door and gather commission, few are concerned with how safe you'll be once you've paid.

I hope you're able to find the best match for your family and travel needs. I'm sure you've come to the right place when it comes to a good group and sound information.

Take care,
Lode

Poor Man Campin'
Welcome to the Club brickric! Glad to see another 2670 out there; and Chambersburg even! I'm typically a little slow at responses and info, but this is a fantastic club with lots of knowledgable people! Stay tuned and check out the M/G for 2010 in Mexico, (PA that is)!
