Solaris 2475

recently purchased 2003 Solaris 2475, would appreciate any information on what to be aware of or any problems associated with this TT. This is the first TT I have owned. Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,
Nice to have you here with use fellow Sunline owners. Just a few thoughts. Your Sunline coach will likely be a very durable trouble free machine. I'd say take care of your rubber roof as the owners manual explains. Nothing will ruin an RV quicker than a water leak left unchecked. Generally get involved in the various functions of your unit as you clean it and camp in it. You'll learn the places that demand attention. This is very important.....be sure to check your tires for signs of deterioration and always maintain correct air pressure in them before every use.

Bob

Hi, I am in the same position you are. We just bought an 03 2475 and it is our first TT. The first thing I noticed is that left untended the battery will run down in a few days. I did some measuring and the trailers equipment uses quite a bit of electricity with nothing on. CO2 detector, radio and someone told me the converter itself runs off the battery somehow. I even heard some noise coming from the refridgerator vent when everything was turned off. I did not have time to figure that one out yet. I converted the propane regulator to one that switches from one tank to the other automaticly. Other than that it seems to be just learning the systems like GoodoleBob mentioned. I am towing with an 05 Tundra and it seems happy. The 2475 is one low trailer, but that should help with the gas milage. We are headed out to Fla in a couple of weeks, I suppose that's when I will start to find things out.

MACK C-85 is an unknown quantity at this point
Congratulations on your new coaches...

Be careful with your auto LP switch, unless it signals somehow that it switched, you won't know it, and end up with two dry tanks!! We had an older model trailer that would draw from both tanks, if they were on, and always kept one closed for this reason.

Your so right about the 12v drain. Our 2007 T-276-SR has a master disconnect switch on the front frame cross member for that reason. We are fortunate to be able to keep the trailer plugged in so we don't have that problem. Just check the water in the battery every couple of weeks.

Our dealer told us to make sure we open the awning every once in a while to let it dry out. They do get condensation in them and when you get a sunny day, not a bad idea to open and air it out for a couple of hours.

Mack

Congratulations on your new coaches, you will find out things as you go along, if in doubt ask for advise on here.
Try to stay in it in your driveway, even if just plugged in to 120 try everything get use to your coach, most of all take care of it and it will give you many trouble free years of enjoyment.
You have one of the best built if not the best coach you could buy.

Cover the tires when not in use to prevent dry rot.
