I'd be interested, mine were replaced with mini blinds and the valance fabric was removed. What color are your curtains?

Hi Jerry,
I'm just catching up on the site and came across your post. Heck, we are almost neighbors. I'm in Stonington/Mystic/Pawcatuck. For cleaning the cushions, I would leave the foam in and pick up a Bissell Little Green steam machine that has a cleaning solution that works great and smells good too. Best of luck with the camper!

1978 mc 12 1/2
My husband and I bought a 1978 MC this summer and redid the entire inside. I updated it and removed the bathroom to have more storage. We just took on our first camping trip and it was perfect!! We love her! We named her Sunny.

Just got my 12-1/2MC
Hello everyone! So glad to see there is a Sunline community!
I just bought a 12-1/2 MC mostly gutted, don't know what year. It is in baaaaad shape, but salvageable.
In the rear, i noticed a lack of full frame support gussets from the factory, which was fine, till water damage rotted the wood out, which was supporting the walls. Refrigerator vent cap gone and that's where the water came in, probably for years. Now it is collapsing from lack of support and that is my first project once I gut out all of the paneling. Luckily, I got it in my garage by lowering the air in the tires so there wont be anymore water until restoration is complete.
Any suggestions on this repair would be very helpful. Thank you.

Welcome smkonicki!
You have quit the find and project ahead of you. Consider creating a new post in the Repairs and Maintenance forum on your project. And good to see you can post pics, as these go a long way in helping us see what you up against.
You asked for suggestions, ideally when doing a full restoration, the repair starts with taking the camper apart from the outside in. And can this extend to taking the roof off too. Meaning you take the moldings, doors and windows out, then the siding off. This exposes the wooden wall studs and flooring and all the cabinets screwed in from the outside and the ceiling down. Then remove bad wood in the walls and floor and staple the siding back on. Some cabinets may be able to be salvaged, others maybe not, it all depends on the damage. If the rot is as bad you you see, then the siding needs to come off to repair the bad studs etc anyway.
Good luck on the project and looking forward to seeing your progress.
John

I drive past one of these quit often. It's setting in a yard. One day I'll get up the nerve to stop and ask about it. Gotta sell my pontoon boat first. To many projects 😂
