Rot in my '87 Prototype

Hi All,

I recently bought what I believe is a prototype unit, I recall seeing "2400 Prototype" written on the back sides of some panels in my cabinets.

I found I do have some rot in my rear floor/wall that will need to be replaced. How do I go about getting parts for this since it is a prototype and the company is out of business?

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry to hear about your problem, I just completed a rotten floor on my 1986 T2261, Mine was under the rear bed, and was caused by previous owners neglect!!!! Heres the link thats also on this site showing my repairs, I did all my self and the cost of materials was 65.00. and the area i repaired was 4' square.

Welcome m071800!

If you wouldn't mind PMing me with your VIN, I'll tell you if it's a prototype or not.

#### It looks like we can get a semi repair for about $700-800. But I want to open the back up to see if I can replace the rearmost wooden structure. Besides the obvious screws in the bottom (that no longer hold) are the remaining screws under the plastic seal on both sides in the rear (that looks like it can be un zipped) to get access?

I really gotta learn how to use this site properly,It'll take a while.
