From your email to me:
Hi, we are new to camping and are planning on attending the meeting at Nicks lake this September. I see there are no electric hookups, are there generators allowed? Are there water hookups. Thanks in advance for any information you can give us.

I think it's best that this be answered in open forum so that others can benefit from the reply.
Generators are allowed but only between the hours of nine and 11 AM and four and 7 PM.
There are no specific water hook ups for sites but there are spigots every four or five sites around each loop. You can fill with a carry can, or if you have a water thief and sufficient house you can hook up temporarily to fill your holding tank.
If you look on Reserve America or on DEC's camping section of their website, you'll find complete specific information about each state owned campground.
Other questions specific to the meet and greet should be asked in the sub forum for the 2017 Adirondack meet and greet.
Will be delighted to have you join us. If you can swing it many of us come in a day or two or more earlier to enjoy the fall camping and more than a few stay afterwards for a day or more.
