New to Sunline Club

Hi,

I've just joined as of yesterday. However, I've been looking at and enjoying the site for a few years. There is a lot of interesting and useful information here. My wife and I have been campers for many years. We just very recently traded our 1992 Sunline T-2251 and are now going to be camping in our, new to us, 2007 T-2553. We hope to enjoy the T-2553 just as much as we enjoyed our former Sunline.

As you might assume from my log in name, I also enjoy taking some amateur radio equipment on our camping trips.

Since this is my first post I guess it's time to see if I did it correctly.

Thanks. We enjoyed our T-2251 which we bought new in 1992. Our only regret is that Sunline isn't in business anymore. We went to Denver for a plant tour when we bought our 2251 sadly that isn't possible anymore.

73, ( that's ham speak for best wishes) and thanks for the good wishes.

Welcome! Did you trade your 2251 into Farnsworth? They have one there, and it certainly looks like it could be a one owner unit.

Hi Sunline Fan-

Yes, that was ours. We then bought the T2553 that they had been advertising for sometime. It was hard to take the 2251 out the driveway for the last time. We had a lot of great times with the 2251.

Ah, so that was the 2553. It's a really nice one too, doesn't look molested at all.

Used Sunline Solaris for sale in Elysburg PA | 2007 Sunline Solaris T2553 Travel Trailer For Sale from Farnsworth Camping Center, Inc. in Elysburg Pennsylvania - Farnsworth Camping Center, Inc.

Hope you get as many if not more years out of the 2553. The way you took care of the 2251 though, I don't think that will be a problem!

Jon

Welcome to SOC and congrats on your Sunline upgrade. I'm sure you will come to love the 2553 once you get to using it. You will probably also appreciate the extra space you will have.

Too bad I don't type faster

Hi to all,

I'll try to answer some of the questions that I've gotten. First, I can't think of any hams I have spoken to in Vt, at least not recently enough for my poor memory to remember.

I just spoke with a couple of folks in West Milton, PA who stopped at Kelly Mobile Homes to look at a nice 2753, I think it was. Turns out the gal had been looking at the 2553 at Farnsworths, on line, like I had been for a couple of months during the winter. I stopped back to Kelly's to pick up a couple of things today and found that the couple, from Bloomsburg bought the 2753. So another Sunline continues camping.

Thanks for the good wishes and nice comments about the 2251 we traded.

Hi mainah,
Thanks for your welcome. I don't get away a lot, but a number of years ago I started to take a two meter rig along. More recently, I took my IC-7000 and some wire and hung a forty meter dipole in the trees and had a lot of fun with it. 73, K3VDT

I see it didn't take them long to sell your T-2251. I looked it up and it's already sold. Congrats on your new coach, and happy camping.
