New to me T2251

Hello! I've been looking at this forum for about a year now. I used it to help decide a Sunline would be for me. After searching around for a few months, I found a 1987 Sunline T2251 last September. I was told it needed some "cosmetic" work but was otherwise sound. There was a soft spot in the floor by the door and one on the wall near the door that I saw initially. I made a low-ball offer and trded the guy my 1983 Starcraft pop-up plus $800. My thought was, come spring I'll do some minor repairs and be on my way. I spent most of last fall cleaning and fixing lights and furnace and such and this spring started the floor/walls. The minor repairs led to everything from the door forward all the way around to the closet opposite the door being gutted and rebuild from the frame up! Well, the work is done and we have enjoyed a few trips so far this year and hope for many more to come. I'm thinking of coming to the m&g in Old Forge this fall. Love the Sunny and my kids love the bunk beds!

Welcome Chris!!!

Glad you found us. And WOW sounds like you have been thru a rebuild.... As I was reading your post, the soft floor and a wall too.... oh boy..... But you over came and now have a fine coach once again.

Did you by any chance get any pics of the process? They are very helpfull to all of us as we run into these issues from time to time.

Happy Camping

John

Thanks John! I do have some pictures. I wish I had some that showed a few more details of exactly everything that was done. I'll try and post a few later. If it wasn't for my father's wisdom and endless patience I think I would have burned it to the ground!

Chris & Kelly,

Welcome to the group and wonderful world of Sunline ownership. Sorry you had so much repair work to do, BUT now that it is repaired you DO have one of the best brands of TT every made.

""WARNING"" this site IS addictive, you will be taunted into many more mods & upgrades because of the stuff you read & see here.

IN other words, your gonna have a BLAST !!! And whenever you need any help, it's only a few key strokes away.

Kitty
