new member question about Que

We are looking at a 2007 Que. We are former tent campers and new to travel trailers. We have looked at the forum threads so we would know what to look for and now have concerns about the water/floor problem posted. How prevalent is this? Any other things we should look for and be aware of?
We are newly retired and don't want to waste the new downsized income!
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

The only thing I can comment on the Que about is the bed/table - do you want to have to make a bed each nite before retiring??? I know I would not want that!

I've seen a couple cases of floor problems in the Que, but with only 172 built, it's hard to say if it's a widespread trend or not. What I can say, look for discolored flooring that's turning black, and feel for any extra soft spots. The floor automatically has a little play to it, after all it is just plywood, but it'll be much softer if it's rotten.

I know the faucets sometimes break in them (relatively cheap repair), the window shades can be problematic, and the built in radios have been known to die prematurely. Lastly, the decals aren't holding up real well on the outside now if the trailer has had a lot of exposure to the elements. Other than that, they seem to be pretty solid trailers.

When looking at any TT I suggest using a moisture meter. Trailers have a underbelly membrane that a water leak can get into but can't get out causing it to hold water against the wood causing rot. With a moisture you can probe the wooden frame of TT you are looking at for wet or rotted wood.
They are inexpensive and can save a headache later.

We looked at the Que yesterday and found several soft spots on the floor - under the table and by the heater. We stopped right there and thanked the gentleman for his time. Back to the search.
We have a Toyota Tacoma 6cyl 4WD to pull a small trailer with. Ideally I would prefer not to have to make a bed each night, but for the time being that is how it would have to be. We are sailors, so we are used to small spaces and don't have a problem with it!
Thanks for all your advise everyone.
