New member in Marietta, Pa
I'm a 1st time travel trailer owner from Marietta, Pa. I purchased our 1994 Sunline 1850 from a couple in Lancaster, Pa. in June of this year. We wanted a small trailer that we could use our Jeep Liberty to tow with, so we wouldn't need to purchase a new vehicle. I works great together. My wife and I have tent camped for 20 years, then upgraded to a pop-up trailer for six years, now we are in our first "Real Trailer". We love it. We have taken our grandkids on two trips so far, and are looking into next year's trips. Our very first trip was to Gifford Pinchot State Park in York County, Pa. Well wouldn't you know it, a first time trailer owner doesn't remember all of the proceedural things that are explained when purchasing items. My neglect to remember was about placing blocks in front of the wheels, so the trailers doesn't roll. We experienced a very bad thunder storm in August on our first trip, which blew our new trailer off the jacks. The front jacks bent so bad that I had to go home and bring a sawzall with me to cut off the front jacks. I had to purchase Jack Stands at Home Depot to get our new trailer supported again. Every trip has been a new experience for us. I don't know much about travel trailers, but I do know quality when I see it, and I'm sure glad that I purchased a Sunline. It's the best $4,000. investment that I've ever made.

Winterizing for 1st time
I just completed my first winterizing of my Sunline. Since this is my first "Real Trailer", I've never had to worry about freezing water lines before. I guess that I should have had a video camera along, when the previous owner was instructing me how to perform the different tasks of owning and maintaining my new travel trailer.

Welcome Glenn,
We go to Lank'is'tr all the time. Both with the coach and without. DW loves to look at all the stores and I test ride all the rockers! Always follow up with Shady Maple!
You have some pretty country out there.
Regards,
MM
PS Take a look at some of the tips in winterizing under the maintenance forum.

Glenn:
Welcome. It's funny, I live 1.5 miles from Pinchot Park Office, but I never have camped there. It doesn't seem worth the effort to load all the camper for such a short trip. For those of you who live further away, it's a very nice state park - especially if you enjoy sailing or fishing.
Your T-1850 is a nice unit. We had looked at that model before we bought our T-2051. Unfortunately, it did not offer enough sleeping capacity for a growing family.

Glenn,
Be sure to check out the posts for the 2008 Meet and Greet in Mexico, PA. I know they want as many Sunline fanatics as they can get. Pinchot Park is a really nice place, but I'm in the same boat as Al, a little too close to the house (2 miles). I like to get at least 10 miles from home, LOL :P .

Hi Glenn,
Welcome to the group and wonderful world of Sunline COACH ownership. Once you own a quality coach it's hard to trade out/up into another brand.
