New Guy and Gal

Hi - just found this site after searching for some help on an audio issue. Looks like a good group of people.

We (me, wife, 2 dogs) purchased a 98 T2670 Solaris 2 years ago and have been loving it ever since.

Lancaster, PA

Welcome to the group. We too like our Sunline and also love to go to your neck of the woods with our coach. You have some beautiful country out in "lankester".

Welcome! I was just wandering around Lancaster with a friend today. Had lunch at Diener's on Rt. 30. If you ever see a 2753 with a Tweety Bird spare tire cover stop by and say hi We like Beacon Hill Campground, or will sometimes do a weekend at Old Mill Stream after Beacon closes. Check out the Meet & Greet that's being planned for next June in Mexico, PA.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Boy I haven't been to Diener's in years. Maybe I should go soon.

We like to get away with our camper so no local sites yet. We've been to Charlotsville, VA, Raystown Lake, Wellsboro twice and the beach a lot. We're actually heading out to Fenwick Island on wednesday .

Just me again. We go to Diener's because they have the BEST desserts!
Our daughter lives in Charlottesville, so we're there all the time...heading to Sherando Lake near there at the end of the month. Never been to the town of Wellsboro, but had our first trip to Ives Run near there this summer, and plan to return next July. Sounds like we'll run into you sometime.

Welcome to the club.

We had a 99 T2670 prior to our current Sunline. It was a great trailer, and we took our kids all over the country in that one.

Hope you're able to join us next year at the 2009 Buttonwood Meet & Greet. There's still plenty of room and time to make a reservation

Welcome aboard, we camp the Lancaster area quite frequently. Old Mill Stream mainly 'cause the kids are into Dutch Wonderland and White Oak near Strasburg.

Sounds like someone is headed for Treasure Beach. My family had a seasonal Park Model in there for many years (Site 734). Nice place, but that area has become very crowded.

Pam,

Forget about all of those other eating places. Shady maple beats them hands down. And there is plenty of parking if you are traveling by with Tweety.

Rich

PS; I live 1.5 miles from Shady, which can't be beat! They now have a Trailer dealership there, too, and a used Sunline.

Rich, So I guess you know that you can eat for free at Shady Maple on your birthday...with ID of course. I've lived here 28 years and just learned that fact!

Pam & Steve,

I do know that and have taken advantage of it since it was initiated several years ago. One can also get a senior discount at 62 and the best thing is that the cost is all inclusive (meal, dessert, drink, tax and tip). It just can't get any better than that. It makes me hungry just thinking about it!

Of course, if one ate there too often, one wouldn't fit through the trailer door.

Rich

Trade it in for a slide model so you can get the extra wide entry door!

HaHa, a good one! If I lived in that area I would need to do just that. Many years ago, I ate at Millers and it was awesome but I just recently heard that it isn't as good as it once was and a lot more expensive! I'm sure that some of the other places that are mentioned are really good. I'll have to look a few of them up next time I'm down that way.

Well, Jon, you are correct only one would need to remove the slide and just put up a curtain. Then there would be room to get in as long as one had sturdy steps leading up to the new wide opening.

Come on down and give it a try. There is plenty of room in the parking lot for the RV.

Shady Maple is quite the sight. I work for a wholesale meat dealer, and we sell them meat by the truck load. Not just the store, but the Smorgasboard as well. It's amazing the amount of product that they go through in a weeks time.

I can only guess how much food goes through that store & smorgasbord. People come from all over to shop and eat. We stay away on Saturday as it can be quite crowded.

We have friends coming dowm from the Bloomsburg area on Thursday, and we will be at Shady eating!
