MySunflower, new member!

Hi! I'm from Maine and I just purchased my very first travel trailer and its a 1984 Sunline T1750! It's in GREAT shape and I'm excited to get a few weeks in this fall! Everything works well except the refrigerator is not repairable. Anyone know where I can find or suggest best replacement? Norma aka MySunflower

Hi Norma, welcome to the SOC.

I don't know which fridge you have in your T1750 (there are experts here that probably do) but I know a new one is expensive, probably over $1000. (ouch!) Some options: some here have replaced just the cooling units but that requires a bit of work and "do it yourself" ability, not sure what you are comfortable doing. Another option is a rebuilt from a place like rvfridge.com ( Dometic & Norcold Remanufactured Cooling Units, RV Refrigerator Repair ) Their site indicates a shortage of current stock but has a program to rebuild ones sent to them. One more option is to replace it with a regular home unit that runs only on 110 volts AC, small ones are available for under $200 and some people here have done just that and are pleased with the result.

I am sure more knowledgeable members will be along with good advice.

Gene
