Howdy.....just bought a 1996 18' Sunline

My name is Tim and I have no idea what I'm doing but figure this is a good place to get some information. I've been looking at some posts on the forum so I'm already a lot smarter than I was. I just bought this today. 1996 16' T-17 is what the title says.

Welcome from Maryland.
Enjoy your camper!

Sound like you have the exact model and year as mine. 1996 T-1700 (I can’t see the pic).

Hi Tim,

Try posting your pic again in a new reply in your thread. I think I know the problem. I will check back to see if it is coming through.

Thanks

John

Sorry John, I've been trying to figure out how to load these things so maybe I'll figure out how to do SIG next. I had the guy drop it off on my brothers farm so some of the picks are the ones he had posted and others are from today. I don't know if I'm going to get two batteries for it or not the first year. I may set it up in a yearly campground but it recently sold so I'm waiting to find out what the rate is. I think I will have to pay for electric each month there also which shouldn't break the bank. LOL I'm also trying to figure out the type of set up I need to tow it around. It's only 18' so I think I found a stabilizer bar at Walmart that will probably work. I really don't think I will ever go over 250 miles in any direction with it for now. I'm just making tiny steps and learning as I go. Last week I fell in my kitchen and messed up my ribs so I'll be sort of out of commission for at least a couple of weeks. I'm going to be towing it with a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddit Bauer Edition which belongs to my girlfriend and I don't really think I need all of those equalizer bars but that's also what I'm here for........just not made of money as it comes once a month now.

This is the stabilizer bar I thought would work for my camper.

Hi Tim,

They call that a friction anti sway bar. And yes, it will work on your size camper.

Do you have a weight distrubtion hitch?

I think this is the tow vehicle you listed, 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition

Does it have the rear air suspension or does it have coil springs?

Thanks

John

On the pics, no worries we are here to help. We like seeing your pics!

In your case, you said you can see the pics on your first post on your screen but we cannot. H'mm, I'm trying to understand why in case it is something with the forum software and we can help address that.

You did successfully upload pics to your photo album and then also can be posted here in threads as I did with one of them.

Try again on to make a reply and post a pic. just like you did the first time. I will see if it come through or there is some format issue. Your first pic had a very different file path and that may be the issue.

Thanks

John

John, it's been a long time since using this type of website. I think what I did was post them from an email address or something. I also have short term memory loss for I have no clue how I did that. LOL The other place is VERY user friendly getting pics up. I have already forgot so much due to the meds Drs have prescribed me. My A1C was either 12.5 or 13.5 at one time but I finally getting that under control and stopped taking a few of the meds for sure. This getting old is NOT what I had in mind but I'm planning on enjoying this little "SUNNY" and making some awesome memories down the road for sure.

Hi Tim,

OK got it. That makes sense. Thanks for letting us know.

If you need any help on how to get pics to show up in a post, jut ask away. This link may help too. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f1...html#post86041

And this one http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...club-7650.html

You can also link a pic from your Sunline Club photo album to show up in a post by doing this. There are 2 ways.

1st way:
1. Find the pic in your album and click on it to open it full size. It helps to open you photo alum in a 2nd tab from the tab you are creating a post in. Then you can flip from 1 tab to the next.

2. Then, right click with your mouse and do a "copy image address"

3. Then in the advanced posting mode, look for the post card icon. Looks like a mountain with a postage stamp next to it. Click that where on your post where you want the pic to show up and it will open a picture posting link box.

4. In that box, do a "paste" and it will paste in the url address of your picture. Click OK and the picture will post.

2nd way

This may be a little simpler as it is copy and paste from your control panel.

1. Go to your user CP: it is on the top left of the forum screen in the white bar. Called "User CP". Place you mouse over the User CP and do a right click with your mouse. Then "Open in a new tab"

2. Scroll down to "Networking" and click on "Pictures and Albums" This takes you to your Sunline Club photo album.

3. Find the pic you want, then click it to make it full size. Look on the bottom of the screen the pic is on and there is a "BB code" box.
a. Click the box and it will highlight the code in the entire box.
b. Do a right click and "Copy"
c. On the top of the screen, click the tab you are creating your new post in. You have 2 windows open now.

4. Then go to the post you want to have the pic show up in and right click again. Then "Paste" and it will bring all the right IMG codes and display in your post.

Hope this helps. If this confuses you more... let us know we will help explain it better.

John

I'll keep trying until I get it on there. I did the 2nd one which seemed pretty easy but I don't think it posted so I'll go back to the drawing board on that. Thanks for all of your help John.
