Thumbs down Hi from: Joe and Bonnie! VIN HELP?

Hi everyone, we will soon have a Sunline, one way or another.

We are looking at an 89 from what the owner says, but I wonder.

Any help?

Welcome to the forum Joe and Bonnie.

I am sure Jon (Sunline Fan) will be able to give you some more info based on the VIN #, he is a real expert AND historian.

Hi Joe and Bonnie,

That VIN is for a 1987 model, 22' long. The trailer is of the T-2260 series, which can include the 2260, 2261, 2262, 2263, 2264, etc. It all depends on the bedroom variation, whether it has bunks, twin beds, island bed, corner bed, etc. Let me know what it has and I can specify which model.

Jon

Thanks, Jon
It has two doors and there was a large bed in the rear on the right with a bed suspended above it. The bathroom was in the center, and the front had a wraparound couch. The cabinets were light in color and seems to be hardwood. There were speakers in the ceiling, but I could not find any radio or place to connect something ? Thanks. Unfortunately, this floorplan is tough to figure out from the outside. The island bed model got an extra window in the back, the twin bed/bunk/rear lounge models had no door and a wide window, and the triple bunk and corner bed model looked like this. So it confirms to me, but only to a degree.

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the speaker situation. Most of these trailers were originally prepped for stereos and speakers. If yours had radio prep, the radio would have been designed to mount in an overhead cabinet face, so the wires may be near there. I'm not sure what year they started the radio prep, so you may or may not have it.

It does have a built in tv antenna with a crank, could the speaker system be for that?

Unlikely. TV antennas came on them quite a bit from the factory. It just consisted of the antenna on the roof, the crank mechanism, and then the wall plate with 12v plug, antenna booster switch, and the actual cable/antenna cord plug.
