Welcome to the group Terrance!

Before your post, I had never heard of a T-345.. I had to go through the 1991 brochures to find it...

Length: 34' 6"
Axle weight: 4520 (Empty)
Tongue weight: 770
Empty GVW: 5290
GVWR: 7000

It's 1' 4" longer than our T-320SR, but only has a GVWR of 7000.. Ours is 10,000... JohnB: Why is that?????

Anyway, Welcome to the group and feel free to ask any and all questions! We all learn from each other!

Gary

Gary,

One thing, there's no slide. The slide outs really cut down on the rigidity of the coach, so they have to have an extra heavy duty frame to preven things from buckling. Not to mention when the slide is out, it puts stress in areas that a non-slide trailer will never see.

Also, this is a StarRay. They were not the Solaris line. They had the basic luan with oak edge cabinet doors. They were very light weight, but they can't have the detail in them that hardwood doors can.

This is one of the last coaches built when Sunline was still following the lightweight theme. Then they moved on to luxury, which resulted in material quality, price, weight, and customer pleasure all rising. If only they had moved back to this in the last couple years, it could have saved them. The reason they probably didn't is because all the other manufactuers changed to fancy doors and hardware and cut elsewhere, so consumers naturally wouldn't go for the cheap looking thing.

Jon

JohnB is on a distinguished road

First off welcome!! Glad to have you with us.

Your pics are great! A nice looking coach. Boy that must be a long camper and no slide, wow. You have 2 1/2 feet more then me...

It's amazing back then they made them so light in comparison. A camper that large with 5,200# dry weight. My 2004 26 foot T2499 weghts only a little less then that and is 8 feet shorter

Do you tow your camper to camp grounds or have it parked on a seasonal site?

Happy camping how ever you do it.

John
