Hello! New to group
Hi everyone, my name is Susan and my husband is Mark. My husband and I have been camping since our kids were little, we started with a tent, went to a pop up, went to a 24 foot trailer, now we own a sunline Saturn T-32SS 1997, with a pull out. It was a friends and they upgraded to another camper. We love our "new to us" trailer! We are seasonal campers now, first year! We are excited to find a group that is dedicated to sunline. We do have a question we can't figure out, there is a RED wire in back of the fuse panel that goes directly into the floor, what is it for? We do plan on renovating it during the off months, but it is much appreciated if someone could let us know what that darn red wire is for, lol! Thank you, it's nice to be a part of this group. Susan and Mark Anderson

Hi Suzie! Glad to meet you, thank you I can't wait to do some Reno to our camper, right now it's just good to be camping again! Our friends who owned it before painted some walls and took the bench seating out and the cabinets in the bedroom on the sides, we are putting the benches back and doing shorter cabinets in the bedroom and panting again. I'll upload pics as we go but it won't be for awhile.

Well I feel like an idiot- LOL! I don't know what I did- but I saw a trailer I thought for sure was from you profile. DUH! Hey, I'm still learning my ropes around here too.. haha! Like, I would love for the User name to say, Allan/Suzie, LOL!! I don't think you can upload a picture straight from your computer- I think it has to be from a photo hosting site.

This mysterious red wire... A picture here will help confirm what it is you are looking at. Is this red wire a very thick/heavy wire? Do you know what it attaches to in the fuse panel?
Sunline did use "red" in a very thick wire (cable) that brought in 12 volt DC power from the battery on the front frame of the camper behind the LP tanks. They used white as the DC (-) negative and red for the DC (+) positive.
I am not sure this is what your red wire is for, a prior owner may have added something and just used red wire also. If you crawl under the camper and look up around the location you see it going down into the floor inside the camper, and that wire then runs along the bottom of the camper outside the waterproof bottom membrane to the front battery area, that could be the 12 volt battery cable. Have a look and see. It might just be the battery cable, or not...
Hope this helps and look forward to your inside work.
Thanks
John

John, thank you for the info about that darn Red wire, you are right, he is going to lengthen it so that we. An move the electrical box to the back and we are taking out the bunk beds to put a close for storage. That will be next year though. Can't wait to do it!
