Hello from VA!

Well, here is my 1982 Sunline. I honestly dont know the model. (Wish I did) I have checked the vin everywhere with no luck. Either way.......I just finished most of the exterior renovation and about half of the interior.

Hope you enjoy, and any info on manufacturers manuals and stuff like that would be really appreciated.
Thanks.

Welcome! You have a 1982 16 1/2' FD there, with FD probably meaning front dinette. It's certainly a rare floorplan, but it did become the T-1650/51 in the couple years following when they re-configured the model numbers.

Here's all I have brochure wise: Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files - 1982 Sunline Travel Trailers

So did you not find a VIN? It should be riveted on the left side of the tongue below the LP tanks, as well as underneath the entry door sill plate that's held down with a couple screws.

Yup, no RV/trailer VINs work on any of those decoders.

It's a clear VIN with no history with me. It is for sure a 1982 16.5' FD as I suspected. It was built about 3/4 of the way through the model year, so probably in February/March of 1982.

Whereabouts in Virginia are you??? I'm in Richmond.
Will it be ready to travel by October? We have an informal meet set up for Shenandoah River SP October 19-21.

Sunline Fan......
Thanks a lot for the vin info. Thats awsome! Where can I get a cheap awning for this thing. I was going to build one, but I figured the channel is already there so I could pick up one of those "bag" awnings that are on pop-ups....

awellis3....
The Sunline has been ready to camp since I bought it, but didn't look very pretty. I've already been to Natural Bridge, Lake Anna, and this weekend I will be at Pocohontas State Park in Richmond. I am running the Tough Mudder again this year so I believe I am going to be in Frederick, Maryland camping for that too the first week in Sept.

I wish I could make the October meet. Someone else invited me and that is the only weekend I work in Oct....

Another crazy runner in the group! Those tough mudders are something else. Have you ever done the "Great Eastern Endurance Run" thats at Sherando? Steve and our daughter did that one 4 or 5 years ago. It starts right at the lake so its a fun one to combine with camping.

Never tried that one. Honestly last year was my first Tough Mudder and I loved it! It was brutal though. I am not the most "in shape" guy around. I just like having something that motivates me throughout the year and the Tough Mudder has definitely done that. Plus last year after all the races the proceeds exceeded $3mil toward the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
