Thumbs up Hello from The Steel City!

My husband and I will be proud owners of a 1985 Sunline T1661 on Thursday! So glad I found the Sunline Owners Club and have been pouring over the threads and having a good time.

Our first trip is planned for the first weekend in August to Canfield, Ohio to show our dog at the Annual Steel City Cluster *dog shows. We have had a Starcraft Pop Up years ago and have a lot of great memories. We now have a Son-in-Law and a darling grandson and our daughter to join us in our adventures.

The little trailer needs some TLC and of course, we are searching for an owners manual. I've come across the brochure, but not the manual. I'll keep looking at the threads. I'm impressed that our T1661 is a 25th Anniversary trailer.

More to come after Bob and I bring her home.

GO STEELERS, PENS and PIRATES! Yinz take care

Hi Gesele....sorry to say but you will not find a manual here on the forum.

What most of us have done is to make a list of the different appliance with model number and go online and download relevant information to each appliance......it would make for a much better manual!!!

Welcome to the forum Gesele.

These travel trailers did not come with a manual in the usual sense. The manual was a collection of smaller manuals that correspond to the various appliances in the camper. Typically, there was a manual for the fridge, stove, hot water heater, water pump, the air conditioner, etc. There was also a few pages with general information about maintaining and towing a trailer. That's it. I guess they figured people who buy campers are a self-sufficient and handy bunch.

Let us know how your project is coming along. My wife and I just bought a 1983 T1661 a little over a month ago. We have been doing some restoration work on it also. From what I can find on the web, there are not a lot of T1661's out there. The smaller models and larger models seem to be more numerous. Personally, I like the T1661. It's the biggest model they made that still had a single axle trailer. It tows very well with a modest-sized towing vehicle.

Best regards,

MikeG

Welcome Gesele,

Congrats on your new Sunny.

On the manual, this can help. See the tabs on the top of the forum. Look for the words "FILES" that is a actual hot link and will take you into our files section Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files You must be logged in to down load the files

There is section in there for manuals. Members have scanned theirs and up loaded them. The manual is generic and not totally specific to your floor plan. While many years have passed by, the core info in the manual most still very much applies.

For the appliances, the range, the fridge, the hot water heater, the roof AC unit if you have one, you can search the web on the brand and model and the owners manuals for those are still on line. Some we have in the files section even if your model lines up.

Hope this helps and happy camping

John

Welcome to the club.

If you poke around the forums, you'll find that many (if not most) issues have already been discussed over the past few years.

There's a "sticky" (stays at the top of the page) in the Sunline Club FAQ's section entitled" "Looking for a manual?" that I started five years ago. It clearly answers the question and gives lots of info on documentation that is available.

Since Sunline went out of business in 2007, owners have banded together here at Sunline Club to share info and learn from each other. What's in the Files area is the total accumulation to date of what all these good folks have shared.
