Hello from PA
We're picking up a 2003 T-1950 on Tuesday. Can't wait to take it out this weekend. This will be my 3rd Sunline. I had a 1991 & 1994 that I bought new at the time. Since then I've had a few other brands, but now looking for a smaller trailer I came across this one and liked it! This trailer is in good condition and the price was right, and we really like the floor plan for the 2 of us (and our 2 dogs)
I also have a 1962 Apache camper that I restored 14 years ago. It's a great camper, but very small. It only sleeps 2, and no room for the dogs. It was a fellow apache camper friend that told me about this group. Thanks Nathan!
Hoping to meet others in this group sometime.

Welcome Tommy! I remember Nathan- I think he ended up selling his Sunline in favor of something that gave his family a little more space.
What models of 1991 and 94 did you have?

I had a StarRay T220 and a T2970. After a couple years on the T2970 I put the springs over the axle. With the length of the trailer it drug the rear everywhere. It was much better after it sat a little higher. Had that trailer for 9 years and enjoyed every moment.
But then wanted to go a little shorter and opted for other brands for a few years until I decided to go back to canvas for a while. While I still enjoy my canvas trailer, having a TT has it's advantages. The T1950 is actually a little larger than we were looking for, but we liked the floor plan so much that we decided to get it. I hope we don't regret the size when traveling.

Your length is only a foot longer than our current Lance trailer. We just got back from 6 weeks out west, where we easily stopped anywhere we wanted! It's such an advantage over the 32 footer we had before. 2 parking spaces will do it. Just about any gas station is workable - no more having to stop at truck stops YEAH! I even had Steve do a u turn once because he passed a BLM office I wanted to stop at. We actually wanted a 1950 but couldn't find one back in March/April when we were shopping. You're gonna love it!

Welcome Tommy!!
Congrats on your new Sunny! The T-1950 is a very popular floor plan. I happen to have a 2004 T-1950. But... it is a "project camper". This winter we have a rebuild project to start back up. It has water damage that we are correcting.
Happy camping in your new coach!
Any help you need on your camper, this is the place to ask. Any question from simple to complex, go for it
Thanks
John

Nice! Like Pam said, I don't think you'll have any problems with the 1950. It was a very popular Sunline floorplan for years and they didn't seem to have people wanting to go smaller, or else they would have built a smaller one again. I think the only difference/challenge you'd have is backing it into a very tight spot, the tandem axles will scrub a bit and make it more difficult. But I doubt that it would really be a problem, except maybe if you have a tight spot to store it for winter. The benefits of the tandem axle setup will far outweight the cons for towing it, especially long distances.
