Welcome Ryan and family!
Congrats on your new Sunny!. It looks like you have it cleaned up well.
When you are saying, start with the renovation, what are you wanting to do? Repair things in need of fixing to get it all working again to go camping, or a total restoration effort back to original as much as possible? We can see a prior owner has done some inside painting.
Assuming you are referring to getting all in order for camping, here are some things to get you started.
1. The roof, you mentioned this. A good place to start. Making sure all the sealants are in good shape. The sealant can also extend to around all the doors, windows and corner moldings. There is a caulking process you can do to clean then up and reseal them.
2. The brakes, alxes, tires and suspension. If you are mechanically handy with working on cars etc, a brake check (clean, adjust and replace parts as needed), wheel bearing grease repack, tire age check and suspension check for worn parts is a good start to help the axle area.
3. The gas appliances should also be checked to make sure the stove/range, water heater, furnace and the refidgeerator all work and are in fully operating condition. Each appliance has it's own annual clean and check needs. Another good thing to do is a LP gas leak test.
The above 3 is a good start and a quantity of work. They do not have to happen all instantly, but should be planned into the big scheme of things.
Hope this helps and ask away with any questions.
John
