Hello from Maryland

Hi everyone. I just bought a 1986 T-1550 over the weekend, and started researching it online. This led me to your site, and I am hoping to learn more about these neat little campers from your combined wealth of knowledge.

Looking at the brochure , the first thing I saw was that the seller had incorrectly listed the camper. He said it was a 13', but the layout is definitely the T-1550. I guess I got an extra two feet for free.

We have been looking for a small camper for a couple of years now, but nothing really caught our eye (except the Apache with hard sides, but I lost that debate). Looking forward to taking the Sunline on a trip to Mother Earth News Fair next month. We've already booked our site.

Welcome!

In looking at your pictures, that's not a 1986. It's a 1982. You're correct on the 1550 part, except that with it being 1982, the model was called a 15 1/2' SB. They converted to the numbering system, that became 1550 in this case, in 1983. It's also not a Saturn, since that label only started in 1986.

Thanks for the info, Sunline Fan. The seller apparently doesn't know his Sunlines any better than I do. I'm scheduled to pick it up on the 19th. Hopefully he has the correct title for it. I'll be checking the VIN and paperwork thoroughly now, thanks to this new data.

Hey Bill,I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!! What a great lil camper with plenty of room for mods and storage too. I recently flip the axle and raised it Forward half inches which gave me incredible ground clearance and cost under 75 bucks!
