Really is an unknown quantity at this point
Just checking in. Things are moving along- but slowly. I'd hoped to make it to my closest meet and greet this fall, but that's unlikely. Household repairs trumped trailer repairs and I've been set back in fixing things.

We've- finished reframing the floor, fixed and sealed one leaky awning bracket, taken apart the door and found lots of gross moldy foam, and bought everything we need to finish the bulk of the repairs. I took off all the hardware from all the cabinet doors so I could rough them up and prime them, and that took longer than almost everything else I've done!

This weekend, I'm going to pop her on the hitch (if my hitch ball is the right size that is) and move the trailer closer to the house. Half my time is spent walking out to the trailer and back - but until this weekend we needed the driveway clear because of work being done on the house.

I don't even know how to back a trailer, so this should be fun. Luckily, I live on an almost-empty street and I have a BIG driveway, so I'll figure it out.

Anyone know what size my hitch ball probably needs to be? And how I tell what size I have?

I'm going to suspect your ball is a 2". It would be stamped on top of the coupler, but many layers of paint through the years may make it mostly unreadable now. It will be stamped lightly near where the jack is mounted. In looking back at your pictures, I'm thinking you have the coupler style that's for 2", not 2 5/16.

Thanks! It's definitely too painty to read, but I'll figure it out.

I'm excited about getting the camper closer to the house and getting more work done on it.

Well, I hitched her up on my own with minimal fuss but I had to have help parking closer to the house. No big mistakes, I just got frustrated when I couldn't park perfectly.

I've lost some time on the repairs because I've been ill, but I should be able to get some things done before it is too cold. Although my get-it-done date is probably sometime next spring, my enthusiasm is undiminished and I still see all the potential every time I go inside the camper, instead of seeing all the work I've yet to do.
