Greetings from Beaverdam, MI

Hello all,

We purchased a T-1350(I think this is the correct model??) 1984 Sunline sometime in 2008 but just went out for our first weekend in it.

It unfortunately lived a outdoor life (not stored indoors) and shows it's age. We slowly over the last couple years got it to the point where we thought it was "weekend-able". Things we have done so far are: seal a leaky side window, fixed the running lights wiring, installed new rear marker and tail lights, 3 new drawers, a new access door (outside for under the bench storage), 3 new tires, new curtains (gussied up by my wife), all 8 cushions recovered, and repaired the bathroom ceiling that was cut out by the previous owners for a leaky/rotten roof.

My wife, son, and myself went out for a nice memorial weekend and had only a few glitches.

There are slide outs (from the bench seat) that support the cushions not supported by the table that started to give way on the first night. Those are top priority along with a pilot light that won't stay lit more than 30 seconds. We were lucky enough to have found a store on the sat. that had a new thermocoupler but that did not solve the issue.

Long term item wish list include new counter tops, a new retractable awning, and rooftop air conditioner.

I will try to get some pics of it this week to post in case anyone is interested.

Kevin & Georgetta

Hi Kevin,

Where did you guys go for your first weekend out? We saw a trailer that looked like yours up at South Higgins Lake State Park over the holiday weekend, thought it might have been you?

We actually didn't get quite that far north. We went about a hour or so away from home, NE of Greenville at Lincoln Pines on Lincoln Lake.

On a side note, it looks like we missed out on a Meet and Greet a couple weekends ago in Michigan. Will have to keep an eye out on the calender.

Kevin and Georgetta,

Welcome to the group and congrats on your Sunline purchase. Even though you have an older unit, it is a treasure. Sunline built one of the best trailers available.

As you read thru the different topics you will see various degrees of Sunline repair, remodel and total rebuild.

SO, anytime you have a question or need some help, this is the place to get it.

Kitty
