The metal roofs never were one piece.

Ohh well.... I didn't mean to replace the whole roof ....just replace the bad section with one piece.

Ahh. Gotcha.

If it were me, I would get one of those roof panels, remove all the old sealant from the whole roof, pull the AC, pull the ruined panel off, fix whatever is causing the AC to sag, put the new panel on and seal everything fresh. A new gasket for the AC unit might be a good idea too.

I would also have a tarp to put over it since there's no way I could do that in a day heheh.

Sounds good! Yes, if the A/C sags, there is structural damage there somewhere. Yep...cut that roofing back until you find solid structure, repair the framework, and reroof from there. By the way, Angela, make sure you review various posts on this SOC site regarding getting up on the roof...don't want to cause further damage.
