Trailer storage

Just double checking but I see a lot of slide outs in the out position for the winter months. I would think you would keep them in for winter. Can anyone give me a definite. I kept mine in last year.

I can't believe the year is over. Winterizing tomorrow after church.

Dave

I would recommend keeping it in , I would think that there are less chances for a leak and if there would be a large snow that would put alot of weight on top of the slide room which I would guess that wouldnt be good just my .02 cents Dan

I would also agree with keeping it in and for the same reasons. I also believe that you are supposed to operate it at least once a month. That would mean dragging the battery out and hooking it up once a month..

If your storing it over the winter, pull the slide in for sure. The camper will take a long winters nap better with the slide in. And your slide seals will last longer. Being exposed to the sun for 4 to 6 moths and not even camping in it does not yield longevity of the seals nor the rest of the slide.

I even think the Lippert slide manual states to bring it in. I remember reading it in some of the Sunline stuff somewhere.

Hope this helps.

John

We'll keep her in then. Thanks to all for your responses. Shut her down and put the bug juice in her on Sunday.
