H'mm, if that is for 2 of them, I might have to even upgrade... But it might be an each price. Still not bad though.
Good luck Alice in your choice.

John,
it is an "Each" price. However, it is a lot less than the $39.98 I found them for before!

Ok I see what you guys are talking about with the larger "foot" but wouldn't an adjustable shower curtain rod do the trick as well? Yes the "foot" is smaller........ They do come in two sizes shower stall and tub length and they are relatively cheap....

Kathy,
I don't believe that a shower rod would be anywhere near strong enough, for use as a slide lock. The forces involved could possibly destroy them. They may not look it, but the ones I pictured above are very heavy duty.

Ok - so now that I am unconfused for a minute , Ron & I will go the big-bucks route and get the HD ones from RV surplus rather than 'fart' around trying to make our own.
BUT since we are leaving home in a couple of weeks (yahoo!), we will wait til we are camped for a month in Fla. and order them in. I agree with everybody, the $30 will be well worth it for piece of mind - whether we 'need' them or not. BIG thanks to everybody for their help, sure appreciate the advice.
BTW, I am sitting here looking at our first snowfall for this year. Our poor TT... we're just itchin' to leave.

Alice,
Make sure you measure the distance first. Measure it where it is shown in the above pic...

Good thinking Gary. I noticed on the website, the bars extend from 18" to 30 3/4", but just to make sure...
Thanks again!

Alice,
Don't know where you are headed after FL, but there are some great spots on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and MS, which our research (admittedly a few years ago) revealed were quite a bit cheaper than the FL Gulf coast.
There's a lot of activity in Mobile, especially during Mardi Gras, and it's not the drunken, naked, uncontrolled whoopie you hear about from N.O. The "eastern shore" of Mobile Bay is very nice. We loved the little town of Fairhope.

STAN - thanks for advice, but we will be sticking to Florida for this year because we have to paint & sell our boat that is in JAX! Then I have a big Red Hat shindig going on in VA on April 22, and then we have a workamper job here at one of our local campgrounds starting May 15 - Sept. 15. So we only have 4 months to travel this year, but we will be living in the tt fulltime (yahoo!)
Next year, we will be leaving NB in mid-November, so we will have a full 6 months to ourselves.

Alice,
Where in Virginia, is the BRH thing? We live just north of the northern tip of VA and could possibly arrange a mini M&G..
