Siding and Molding Repair Help

OK Guys. I'm new to the forum and to RVing. We just bought a T267SR and took it out for our first weekend. Everything was great until I clipped a tree pulling into my driveway. Yep. Sure did. Now I get to rebuild the top corner of my camper. The roof wasn't damaged, just the front and side right at the corner. I know I damaged the wood frame in that area but I can fab that.
Questions:
What is the type of corner mouldings used on those and who still makes them?
Is there any known source for aluminum siding that matches?

Ouch, can't help you with your parts, but don't feel too bad I lowered the front of our T-276SR onto the hitch bars that had slid down the A-Frame onto the rock guard. Punched two perfectly square holes into the diamond plate rock guard.

BTW - In 2006, the T-267 with minor changes became the T-276.

Sorry to see. I'm sure that was heartbreaking.

The corner molding is pretty common. Most brands use the exact same thing. You shouldn't have any problem finding that. I think it's considered 1" but verify first.

JohnB posted some links to some sources for siding a few days ago. It's post #42 in a thread titled "1988 Solaris renovation help".

Good luck.

Oh Sh**!! This is one hell of a way for us to meet. I'm so sorry this happened on your first run or at all, for that matter. I'm heading to work but will check back in later. The trim should be easy enough to find on line. The skins, I'm not sure because you are going to want the same style/stamp or whatever you call it since that is a fairly new rig from what I can tell by your pictures.

Oh, and start a new post so we keep all pictures and comments together in one place.

Hi 6566Coronet,

Welcome to Sunline Owners Club!

Bummer on your tree branch event. Sorry this happened, but I know it happens. When were bringing home our new T310SR camper I pulled in a rest stop on the PA. Turnpike to do a rest break and get gas. Bad mistake on the gas... when towing a camper you need to park in the back of the building. No problem there but when you pull out and have to try and get into the gas pumps from the back of building, that is bad news with a camper.... Never do that again...

Cars buzzing like bee hive around the pumps and yup, crunch... trying to watch out for all the cars, the side of the camper gets up close and personal with a shiny red Chevy pickup parked in the wrong location at the service bay. Oh man....I did not even get it home... Point: It happens, move on and fix it and learn from it.

It sounds like you have the tools and skills to fix this. Great. See this post to help on the how the camper comes apart, the roof tie in, the siding and the right materials on caulking and sealing tape when you put it back together. We had that front corner all apart on my son's 2006 T264SR. This is a camper rebuild thread but it shows having that front right corner all apart in detail. You can skim through the areas that apply and those that do not. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f7...avy-16834.html

Now for parts:

On the siding, see these 2 posts.

This one has names of places that sell siding, do not know if that have yours, but a place to start.
http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f6...86-a-8464.html

And see this post on 4 places I posted on that I found a long time ago. I never bought from any of these places, but it is a place to start. The Hemet Valley place looked interesting. They have a video on their site showing them making it and packaging it.
http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f7...tml#post137266

If you find a lead on one of these places that has the profile on your camper, please post back. Not all era Sunlines had the same siding but groups of model years are the same.

The gutter rail and the front corner rail. These are sold commonly and I just happened to have the gutter rail, the front corner molding and the roof front cap seam moldings off yesterday on a 2004 model project camper I'm working on. I suspect these are the same vintage you have by the pics.

I will measure what I have today and try to give you some specs on them to help narrow down the hunt.

Will post back later and hope this helps

Thanks

John
