Towing ease is in the eyes of the beer holder
Say you left coasters and left of the Mississippi brag about your Western Mountains. Yes, I have been out there... have no idea what a CHALLENGE it is to navigate the Smokies!
We RIGHT of the Mississipis and RIGHT coasters will tell you those of us that live here it's not a piece of cake on the Foothills Parkway, Smokies or the Blue Ridge.
We have mam ma and pap paw tourists here not to mention hopped up on who knows long distance truckers here more than yall.
One does not underestimate a too big of sticking out ears w/ hairs growing out of them or a mam ma with her seat up clutching the wheel like there is no tomorrow and all you see is the top of her head.
Usual for people to cut across 3 lanes just to made a last minute turn to an outlet hunting the illusive deal.
Navigating thru Pigeon Forge (land of Dolly and outlets) then onto Gatlinburg w/ it's hairy pin practically 360s is no small feat even in a car or a truck. Just add the abundant wet leaves of the Fall and some (#()%U%U##U ID 10 Ts tourists it's a prescription for disaster attempting to pull a TT thru. Especially the big ones.
It is NOT unusual to see a mam ma or pap pa tourist wipe people out in the Smokies. They have no skill or reaction time and often come around blind curves on the wrong side of the road.
A wise person NEVER pulls in the Smokies from Gatlinburg, TN up to Cherokee, NC. A wise person camps just shy of the park. Then proceeds carefully in a TV even up the quiet side of the Smokies. A wise person knows to take Maggie Valley to Cherokee to go gamble w/ the natives.
There is a reason why the Rangers wisely close the trek to Cherokee or to Klingman's Dome or just to Cades Cove if there is even a split of snow. Most people or the OTD tourist here have no idea how to navigate in the snow!
So towing is indeed in the eye of the beer holder just what is and what is not an easy tow.
OK native S'th'rners bear me out of this one please!
