Tow Vehicle Rentals

Hello Sunliners!

Does anyone know who rents pickups to tow travel trailers one-way? Looking to tow my 2005 Sunline Solaris 1950 from Michigan to its permanent home in central Florida.

U-Haul (the only one I've called thus far) wanted a fortune. Plus I would have had to return it to the same U-Haul dealer in Michigan - a bit much since I only need a one-way rental.

Any advice would be helpful.

There are guys who run stuff in and out of Florida all the time mostly for the snow birds. It happens in the fall and spring, maybe you can find someone dropping of something in your area. In the spring he would probably be happy to have a return trip. Or buy something up there and sell it down here. It wouldnt cost you much then.

Try Ryder or Hertz truck rentals. Being nationwide, they should offer a one way trip pricing. You will find that the equipment will be in a lot better shape and more reliable than a U-Haul. I personally use Ryder when my work truck breaks down. Never had a problem with them.
